Thor: Love and Thunder star Natalie Portman revealed a new poster of Jane Foster/Mighty Thor.

On Instagram, Portman posted a photo, which you can see below, of Foster standing on a mountain, Mjolnir lifted above her head. The poster itself is clearly a play on the first one for the movie, which featured Chris Hemsworth as Thor standing on the same mountain in front of the same background. However, the text is different than on that original poster. While Hemsworth's poster said, "The one and only," Foster's says, "The one is not the only." In her caption, Portman wrote, "And you thought you were the one and only..." The comments on the post come from a variety of people involved with production on the film.

Natalie Portman as Jane Foster/Mighty Thor in Thor: Love and Thunder.

Portman made her debut as Foster in 2011's Thor alongside the God of Thunder. Originally, Foster served as Thor's love interest, and she returned for the sequel, 2013's Thor: The Dark World. However, Portman did not reprise her role for 2017's Thor: Ragnarok, with the in-universe justification being that Foster and the God of Thunder had broken up. While Portman did not seem likely to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Love and Thunder director Taika Waititi said he got Portman interested in the role by finding a fresh take on the character.

Set after the events of 2019's Avengers: Endgame, Thor: Love and Thunder sees the God of Thunder on a quest for inner peace. However, he's interrupted by Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who plans to kill all the gods. In order to stop Gorr, Thor must work with King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Waititi) and Foster, who wields a reforged version of Mjolnir. It's not clear at this time just how Foster got ahold of the weapon, which was destroyed by Hela (Cate Blanchett) in Ragnarok.

In addition to those mentioned above, Love and Thunder will also feature the Guardians of the Galaxy, with Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista), Peter Quill/Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and various other members of the team appearing in the movie. Russell Crowe will also play Zeus in Love and Thunder, officially bringing the Greek Gods to the MCU.

Directed by Waititi from a script by himself and Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, Thor: Love and Thunder releases July 8.
