Naruto Uzumaki is the titular protagonist of the Naruto franchise and he's moved on to greater things now that he's grown. Despite starting off as a troubled youth, he has many innate (and earned) advantages that have led him to a charmed life, as well as a position of prominence.

Over the years, Naruto has evolved from being a local troublemaker into a worldwide hero and savior. Naruto Uzumaki may not have had the best circumstances in his life, but there are several perks to being a legendary hero and the Seventh Hokage.

10 Naruto Owns The Strongest Tailed Beast, Kurama

Kurama proved capable enough to fight dozens of his brethren simultaneously and hold his ground. He was so powerful that Minato divided his chakra in half so that he wouldn't overwhelm Naruto upon making him a Jinchuriki.

Although Naruto technically didn't do anything to harm Kurama, their relationship wasn't always perfect. It took the experience and wisdom of Killer Bee for Naruto and the Nine-Tails to make peace. When combining their powers, they were nearly unstoppable.

9 Naruto Had Powerful Parents

Naruto had no idea that his father was Minato, the Fourth Hokage of Konoha. It gave him credibility among the village's elders, specifically Hiruzen Sarutobi, who was forced to resume his leadership as the Third Hokage after Kurama's attack.

There were also benefits to having Kushina as a mother. Not only was she a former Jinchuuriki, but her Uzumaki lineage also guaranteed a heightened healing factor that he was able to use in future encounters. It was especially handy against Kabuto, who likely would have killed Naruto with chakra scalpels if he were an ordinary shinobi.

8 Naruto Was Trained By A Legendary Sannin

Having personally known Minato very well, Jiraiya agreed to take on Naruto as his apprentice. He suspected that Naruto was the chosen one that the toads of Mount Myoboku foretold, and Jiraiya wanted to correct the mistake that was Nagato. Being Jiraiya's disciple had massive perks.

Jiraiya was one of the few ninja alive that could not only survive Naruto losing control, but also turn him back to normal. Jiraiya taught Naruto the Rasengan, an unspeakably powerful jutsu that became his signature move. He also staved off the Akatsuki while his student grew strong enough to defend himself.

7 Naruto Can Call Upon Powerful Summoning Familiars

Gamabunta and the toads

After Jiraiya's death, Naruto was the sole user of Mount Myoboku's battle toads. Each toad is tremendously powerful, having proven their worth through the conflict against Pain. Gamabunta was even strong enough to hold his own against Shukaku while Naruto mounted him and struck Gaara down. Their allegiance is as exclusive as it is useful, especially given the toads' pugnacious and eccentric personalities. Naruto has used them less in recent years, however, since his opponents have grown in strength beyond the toads' limitations.

6 Naruto Has Superb Persuasive Skills

Naruto has displayed an aptitude for reaching out and converting almost any opponent he's fought against. Befriending Gaara is the first meaningful instance of Naruto managing to win over his enemies, leading Gaara to later repurpose the Sand Village as one of Konoha's most reliable allies.

He also reached Pain and Obito, two unimaginably powerful villains who gave their lives in penance for what they had done. In the end, Naruto even managed to persuade the intrepid Sasuke Uchiha and turn him away from his quest to subjugate the entire world, even if he lost an arm in the process.

5 Naruto Is A Master Of The Shadow Clone Jutsu

Even before fully mastering Kurama's chakra, Naruto proved himself as a master of the Shadow Clone jutsu, which is quite an impressive feat. He could duplicate himself hundreds of times in order to overwhelm opponents with flurries of punches.

As a bonus, the clones were useful for more than just taijutsu. Oftentimes, they were used as props to help Naruto form a complete Rasengan. During the Fourth Shinobi War, Naruto's clones were also handy for relaying messages and identifying spies. A shadow clone's only weakness is that they are extremely fragile and usually vanish after a single hit.

4 Naruto Found Closure With His Parents

Many anime heroes have suffered from the loss of their parents, including Naruto's own Sasuke Uchiha. However, few anime heroes have received closure as direct as Naruto's, which was witnessed during the conclusion of the Fourth Shinobi War.

Not only was he able to fight alongside Minato, he also updated him about everything that had happened in his life and even spoke with his mother. Minato's resurrection was one of the only positive things to come out of the Edo Tensei, especially since it empowered Naruto with the second half of Kurama's chakra.

3 Naruto's Prowess Was Acknowledged By All Five Nations

Gaara gives his famous speech

Ever since Pain's defeat (and arguably as early as his role in defending Konoha from the Sand Village), Naruto's prowess has been acknowledged on a global scale. He was mentioned as part of Gaara's address to the Allied Shinobi Forces, indicating the substantial impression Naruto left on others.

Naruto's actions had identified him as such a legendary hero that the Five Kage felt obligated to defeat Madara on his behalf. Unfortunately, they vastly underestimated the villain's skill and were completely humiliated as a result of their hubris.

2 Naruto Achieved His Dream By Becoming The Seventh Hokage

At first, it seemed as if Naruto would never become the Hokage. The villagers distrusted him for being a Jinchuriki, and that loathing only became worse when he responded by antagonizing them. As a former class clown, people didn't take his aspirations seriously until he proved himself by defeating Neji Hyuga.

A string of subsequent victories made the residents of Konoha realize Naruto's potential, and he eventually fulfilled his dream. Although Konoha's struggles are far from over, Naruto has led them into one of their most prosperous eras yet.

1 Naruto Started His Own Family With Hinata

Despite being oblivious to Hinata's affection, Naruto eventually caught onto her feelings and reciprocated. Their romance came to a head during Toneri Otsutsuki's attack, where he risked life and limb in order to save her. Sometime after, they began a family of their own.

Although the relationship between Naruto and his son is far from perfect, he strives to protect his loved ones just as his own father had protected him. His children also add fulfillment to his life and give the shinobi an identity beyond being the leader of Konoha.
