The Uzumaki Clan is one of the most intriguing clans in Naruto. Originally, the clan resided in Uzushiogakure, a country that was eventually destroyed by its neighbors out of fear. After the incident, most Uzumaki Clan members moved to Konohagakure, where most remain today.

Members of the Uzumaki clan are descendants of Asura Otsutsuki and thus share ties with the Senju clan. They're incredibly powerful and are known especially for their tremendous life force & sealing Jutsu. Most fans aren't familiar with which Uzumaki Clan members are still around, but there’s more than they might think.

The Clan was massacred and only a few members survived – many took refuge in other villages, and eventually, fans were introduced to the few remaining Uzumaki Clan members.

Fans don't have a lot of information about Fuso. Unlike most Uzumaki clan members, Fuso didn't live in Konohagakure; instead, she lived with her small family in Amegakure. Being an Uzumaki, she had striking red hair.

Fuso got caught up in the Second Great Ninja War and was murdered by Konohagakure shinobi. Her son, Nagato Uzumaki, avenged her death by killing the intruders on the very spot.

Nagato was orphaned at a very young age. After meeting up with Yahiko and Konan, the three created an organization known as the Akatsuki and started fighting for peace across Amegakure. Unfortunately, he and Yahiko were manipulated by Danzo and Hanzo, which resulted in Yahiko's death. This changed Nagato, and led him to create his alter ego, Pain. The Akatsuki's goal soon changed, and he recruited criminals like Sasori, Kisame, and even Orochimaru.

Nagato had incredible vitality as an Uzumaki, and he also had access to the Rinnegan, which Madara Uchiha gave to him when he was still a child. Without a doubt, Nagato was among the strongest of the clan. Though he used his powers to cause pain and devastation, he eventually had a change of heart right before his death thanks to Naruto.

Ashina Uzumaki was the leader of the Uzumaki clan that existed in Uzushiogakure. Little is known about him, but it is said that his ties with the First Hokage of Konohagakure were excellent.

Ashina was a master of Fuinjutsu, something that the Uzumaki clan excels in. In the anime, Hashirama sought him out in order to seal away a giant beast that was on the loose. What exactly happened to him and his people after that remains unknown.

Mito was able to become a great vessel for him and contained him quite well until it was eventually transferred to Kushina Uzumaki.

Kushina eventually marryied Minato Namikaze, and together the two had Naruto Uzumaki. Kushina died along with her husband in the Nine-Tails attack on Konoha.

Boruto Uzumaki is the protagonist of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. He's a skilled child often described by others as a prodigy. He resents his father early on because his Hokage duties keep him extremely busy. He outgrows his bitterness – soon he begins to focus on his growth and how to defeat the Otsutsuki Clan.

Boruto's chakra reserves make it clear that he's an Uzumaki. His Rasengan has developed immensely and Boruto Blue Vortex has shown fans that he's ready to save his parents and ensure that the Uzumaki Clan doesn't use anymore members.

1 Himawari Uzumaki

Himawari is Naruto and Hinata's daughter. Like her brother Boruto, she's a prodigy in the making and even though she hasn't enrolled in the Academy yet in the anime, she's already skilled with the Byakugan.

Now that Blue Vortex is slowly but surely answering many burning questions, fans are looking forward to Himawari's growth. The first five chapters already indicate that she's becoming a tremendous Kunoichi. Though this was already made clear in Boruto's earlier episodes when she was able to knock out her father in just one hit when her Byakugan awakened for the first time.
