The Uzumaki Clan is one of the most intriguing clans in Naruto. Originally, the clan resided in Uzushiogakure, a country that was eventually destroyed by its neighbors out of fear. After the incident, most Uzumaki Clan members moved to Konohagakure, where most remain today.

Members of the Uzumaki clan are descendants of Asura Otsutsuki and thus share ties with the Senju clan. They're incredibly powerful and are known especially for their tremendous life force & sealing Jutsu. Most fans aren't familiar with which Uzumaki Clan members are still around, but there’s more than they might think.

The Clan was massacred and only a few members survived – many took refuge in other villages, and eventually, fans were introduced to the few remaining Uzumaki Clan members.

10 Karin Was Used For Her Sensory Abilities

Karin was introduced to the fans as one of Orochimaru's subordinates who later went on to join Sasuke Uchiha on his endeavors. Her red hair and incredible vitality are proof enough that's she's an Uzumaki.

Karin is also a magnificent sensory ninja who is able to figure someone one just by getting a glimpse of their chakra. She can also heal someone by allowing them to consume her chakra. Years after the Fourth Great Ninja War, she's now working for Orochimaru once again.

9 Fuso Birthed One Of The Most Powerful Ninja In The Series

Fans don't have a lot of information about Fuso. Unlike most Uzumaki clan members, Fuso didn't live in Konohagakure; instead, she lived with her small family in Amegakure. Being an Uzumaki, she had striking red hair.

Fuso got caught up in the Second Great Ninja War and was murdered by Konohagakure shinobi. Her son, Nagato Uzumaki, avenged her death by killing the intruders on the very spot.

8 Nagato Uzumaki's Alter Ego Facilitated Widespread Destruction

Nagato was orphaned at a very young age. After meeting up with Yahiko and Konan, the three created an organization known as the Akatsuki and started fighting for peace across Amegakure. Unfortunately, he and Yahiko were manipulated by Danzo and Hanzo, which resulted in Yahiko's death. This changed Nagato, and led him to create his alter ego, Pain. The Akatsuki's goal soon changed, and he recruited criminals like Sasori, Kisame, and even Orochimaru.

Nagato had incredible vitality as an Uzumaki, and he also had access to the Rinnegan, which Madara Uchiha gave to him when he was still a child. Without a doubt, Nagato was among the strongest of the clan. Though he used his powers to cause pain and devastation, he eventually had a change of heart right before his death thanks to Naruto.

7 Ashina Uzumaki Led The Uzumaki Clan Before Its Extinction

Ashina Uzumaki was the leader of the Uzumaki clan that existed in Uzushiogakure. Little is known about him, but it is said that his ties with the First Hokage of Konohagakure were excellent.

Ashina was a master of Fuinjutsu, something that the Uzumaki clan excels in. In the anime, Hashirama sought him out in order to seal away a giant beast that was on the loose. What exactly happened to him and his people after that remains unknown.

6 Mito Uzumaki Was Married To Hashirama Senju

The First Hokage's wife, Mito Uzumaki was introduced in the series after Konoha's origin story was shown. She was to be the Nine-Tails Jinchūriki, thanks to the incredible vitality that the Uzumaki blood gave her.

Mito was able to become a great vessel for him and contained him quite well until it was eventually transferred to Kushina Uzumaki.

5 Kushina Uzumaki Sacrificed Herself To Save Her Son

Kushina was brought to Konohagakure because she was selected as the next Nine-Tails Jinchūriki. The previous Jinchūriki, Mito, comforted her and taught her how to control Kurama's power. This helped Kushina come to terms with her new role, and she remained in Konoha and became a citizen of the village.

Kushina eventually marryied Minato Namikaze, and together the two had Naruto Uzumaki. Kushina died along with her husband in the Nine-Tails attack on Konoha.

4 Naruto Uzumaki Is The Most Famous Member Of His Clan

Naruto grew up not knowing who his parents were. He believed that he was all alone in the world and had no idea he came from two of the greatest ninja in the Hidden Villages. Naruto was born with incredible power, which only increased when he became the next Nine-Tails Jinchūriki the day he was born. His parents knew he could handle Kurama because Uzumaki blood runs through his veins.

Learning how to control his exceptional chakra reserves took time, but he proved to be a prodigy in his own right. Naruto eventually surpassed all of his mentors and even his father Minato, Konoha's Fourth Hokage. At 17 years old, he brought peace to the Hidden Villages and soon after became Konoha's Seventh Hokage.

3 Hinata Uzumaki Loved Naruto Her Whole Life

Hinata was born into the Hyuga Clan, specifically the Main Family. She was deemed inadequate at first and was essentially disowned by her father. Naruto inspired her to believe in herself. She pushed past her limitations, fears, and insecurities and eventually became a skilled kunoichi.

Some time after the Fourth Great Ninja War, Hinata married Naruto Uzumaki and officially became a member of the Uzumaki clan. Together, they have two children, Boruto and Himawari.

2 Boruto Uzumaki Has Already Surpassed His father

Boruto Uzumaki is the protagonist of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. He's a skilled child often described by others as a prodigy. He resents his father early on because his Hokage duties keep him extremely busy. He outgrows his bitterness – soon he begins to focus on his growth and how to defeat the Otsutsuki Clan.

Boruto's chakra reserves make it clear that he's an Uzumaki. His Rasengan has developed immensely and Boruto Blue Vortex has shown fans that he's ready to save his parents and ensure that the Uzumaki Clan doesn't use anymore members.

1 Himawari Uzumaki

Himawari is Naruto and Hinata's daughter. Like her brother Boruto, she's a prodigy in the making and even though she hasn't enrolled in the Academy yet in the anime, she's already skilled with the Byakugan.

Now that Blue Vortex is slowly but surely answering many burning questions, fans are looking forward to Himawari's growth. The first five chapters already indicate that she's becoming a tremendous Kunoichi. Though this was already made clear in Boruto's earlier episodes when she was able to knock out her father in just one hit when her Byakugan awakened for the first time.
