The story of Naruto is the tale of Uzumaki Naruto and his quest to become Hokage, and along the way, Naruto met many incredible and colorful characters, including Uchiha Sasuke, the last known survivor of the Uchiha clan aside from his sinister brother Itachi. Sasuke soon became Naruto's best rival, then enemy, then ally once again.

Sasuke's personality is an intense and dark one, and he is openly driven by anger, hatred and selfish desire rather than "the power of friendship" or to make the world a better place. Sasuke's personality can be defined not only by his fierce astrological sign, Leo, but also his MBTI personality type, which reveals a lot about him.

Uchiha Sasuke's MBTI Type: INTJ-T, The Architect

Sasuke is an Architect, with the personality code INTJ-T, a turbulent form of Introverted Intuitive Thinking Judging, which makes for an aloof, calculating and cautious personality, similar to the ISTJ Logistician, with which it shares many similarities. Architects are often imagined as mathematicians, judges, philosophers and schemers, but people can embody the INTJ personality in other ways and even add a little chaos if there is a practical purpose to everything they do. Deep down, Sasuke is a detached and calculating person, and that makes him an Architect, even if he is unpredictable and chaotic on the outside. It's a fascinating combination.

Architects are often known to be somewhat asocial, cynical or even pessimistic, and they are quick to look down on anyone who can't keep up with them on an intellectual level, which might alienate other people even further. Architects are often lost in thought and don't pay much attention to the present, as they are more interested in the possibilities of the future and the patterns of the world that exist in the past, present and future alike. To an Architect, free thought and an inquisitive mind are essential tools for life, and they love putting their skills to the test in a variety of intellectual challenges. They have minimal leadership skills, but they can also be inspiring to like-minded people who want to accomplish something.

INTJ individuals like Sasuke have many assets, such as their rational and calculating minds, which allow them to easily solve problems and devise new systems to make their life even more efficient and productive, and they might share this gift with the people around them. They are independent-minded and determined people who can accomplish a lot if their bosses and other associates give them free rein to solve a problem their way, which allows INTJs to outperform most other personality types. These people are flexible, curious and versatile.

On the downside, Architects have weak social skills, and few people can appreciate what they do if these Architects are aloof, abrasive or socially awkward. Architects must realize that friendship, love and conversation aren't necessarily distractions -- they are vital tools for advancing through society. Architects might also annoy people by being overly critical or judgmental, which can do more harm than good, and they might even become arrogant or egotistical in some cases.

Uchiha Sasuke As An INTJ In Naruto

Sasuke Uchiha is using Susano in Naruto

Sasuke is unusual among Architects since he is notably chaotic and fueled by anger, which assertive architects would not like. Still, Sasuke embodies many core values of the INTJ personality type, including his self-absorbed nature and his preoccupation with not what is but what could be. Sasuke is never satisfied with the world or the people around him, instead retreating inward to carefully scheme his next move and create the perfect future for himself.

Many times in Naruto, Sasuke was dissatisfied with his personal growth, especially when Naruto outshone him with the Rasengan, so Sasuke consorted with Orochimaru in a calculated move to gain more power. Then, after the pragmatic Sasuke got what he wanted from Orochimaru, he absorbed the latter and simply moved on, prepared to gain even more power and let his plans finally come to fruition. Sasuke kept his eyes on the prize, fixated on future victories such as defeating Itachi and later, getting revenge on the Leaf Village in the name of his Uchiha clan.

As a true Architect, Sasuke had poor social skills and rarely connected with anyone on an emotional level. Instead, he judged people by their intellect, shinobi skills and roles in his plans, and that is the INTJ way. To Sasuke, Kakashi was not a substitute father but merely a source of training and information, and he behaved the same with Orochimaru and even Uchiha Obito. Sasuke is known for his independent streak, determined to solve his problems and complete his schemes his way -- even though he did form his own team, Taka, just in case.
