Despite the name of the series being Naruto, it focuses more on Sasuke and getting him back to the village. Sasuke, the last Uchiha, leaves Konoha to get strong and exact his revenge against Itachi. Eventually, he succeeds in his ambition but loses something far greater in the process- and he realized it later on.
His hatred consumes him. If not for his persistent friends, Naruto and Sakura, Sasuke would've been left all alone, ending up being used by others. Now he has become a completely different personーbut there are still questions fans have about him and the inconsistencies in his character development.
10 Did He Ghost Karin, Jugo, And Suigetsu?
Sasuke, after leaving Konoha, gathers a team of three outlaws, Jugo, Suigetsu, and Karin. They had a good run- capturing the tailed beasts and committing crimes. Soon, the 4th Great Ninja War begins and Sasuke had to go back with his old team, Naruto and Sakura. At that point, he completely cut them off from his life.
Karin mentions that she helped Sakura in her labor, meaning they still meet. But it was never explained how Sasuke ended his relationship with them. Did he just ghosted them and never looked back. Or did he talk them?
9 Why Is He Weak In Boruto?
Sasuke reached his prime in the 4th Great Ninja War in Naruto Shippuden. He achieved what no other Uchiha have been able to, surpassing the greatest- Madara and Itachi. Naruto had assistance from Kurama, but Sasuke achieved it all on his own. Sasuke was the unsung hero of the war, sealing Kaguya Otsutsuki with Naruto.
Logically, his powers should've increased in Boruto. With him traveling more and learning new things. Instead, he went downhill and lost his demeanor. He rarely uses his complete arsenal of tools and his fights are not even that much creative. Fans want that edgy and overpowered Sasuke back.
8 Why Did His Opinions Change All The Time?
Sasuke was no more than an average delusional teenager. He hated his life and those around him and sought revenge against his brother. He was easily manipulated by anyone who showed him the pipe dreams. Orochimaru was the first one to use him, promising him power.
Then he killed Orochimaru and went rogue. After that, Tobi revealed him the truth about Itachi, so he sided with him. Finally, Sasuke decided to become the Hokage( which was the most surprising). Soon, he fights Naruto, who talks him out of it. This guy has no consistent goals.
7 Can He Defeat Orochimaru?
Orochimaru has to be one of the best villains in all of anime. As much twisted as he was, he had a charm no one else had. The way he manipulated Sasuke and knew about every forbidden Jutsu. Then keeping himself alive in different bodies( Voldemort should be taking notes here). Eventually, he became good but still kept on doing his evil stuff.
Now that Sasuke has spent quite a long time with him and knows about his every little secret. Will he be able to put an end to his life if the need arises? Or the result would be the same as last time? Orochimaru, knowing him, already would have some countermeasures in place.
6 Can He Put Naruto Under Genjutsu?
Uchichas are the most skilled clan at Genjutsu. Their Sharingan and the more powerful version, Rinnegan, can put anyone under gruesome illusions that are almost impossible to break out of- like the time Itachi used his Tsukuyomi on Kakashi.
Sasuke also performed a genjutsu feat by controlling all the tailed beasts at the same time. But he has never used it on Naruto. It is said that Jinchuriki, in collaboration with their tailed beast, can easily break out of it. But its Sasuke being taken into consideration. It might be possible if they experiment with it sometime.
5 Can Sasuke Use The Paths Of Pain?
Nagato controlled six corpses called 6 Paths of Pain and each one could perform one special ability of the Rinnegan. Although, there is a difference between Sasuke's and Nagato's Rinnegan. Nagato had two Rinnegan, while Sasuke only possesses a single 6 Tomoe Rinnegan. Sasuke has been shown to use Chibaku Tensei and Shinra Tensei only once.
Theoretically, Sasuke should be able to perform the same feats as Nagato. But it is not confirmed. Only Masashi Kishimoto can answer this question.
4 Will He Continue The Uchiha Clan?
The Uchiha clan was driven almost to its extinction overnight when Itachi performed the mass genocide of his people. He spared his little brother and went rogue. From then on, Sasuke was treated as a precious person. Because if he dies then the Uchiha clan, with all its power will end.
Luckily, Sasuke survived through all the roughs and married Sakura and expanded his family. On the other hand, Naruto has two children, meaning the Uzumaki clan have more chances of survival. He should have another child just for the sake of the clan's survival and be present for Sarada more.
3 Why Did He Never Realize The True Intentions Of Itachi?
One of the first things the shinobi were taught was to be perceptive of others. Itachi at a young age was able to defeat a group of ANBU, because of his unmatched talent. While Sasuke, coming from the same family, failed to do so. He never pondered over why his loving brother turned into a maniac.
His naive attitude cost him despair his whole life. And in the end, he put an end to his brother's life. He endured the pain after knowing the truth.
2 Can He Copy Jutsu Like Kakashi?
A simple Sharingan allows its user to cast genjutsu, better control their chakra, and enhance their eyesight. Kakashi used his Sharingan with perfection to its full potential and copied his opponent's Jutsu, only seeing them do it once. This was an ability of the Sharingan, not limited to Kakashi.
Since Sasuke also possesses a Sharingan and a Rinnegan, he should be able to copy any Jutsu. But he never does it. Is it possible that Kakashi is more at home at using the Sharingan than Sasuke?
1 Was He Actually Going To Kill Sakura?
Among all the other characters in Naruto, Sakura has to be the most clingy person ever. She followed Sasuke even when he turned into a criminal, she betrayed her village to be with him. She confronted him and confessed his feelings for him. Sasuke, instead of telling her to go away, went a bit extreme.
He attempted to kill her with his Chidori, but Naruto arrives and saves her. Was Sasuke actually going to impale her or did he sensed Naruto's chakra and knew he was going to save her? He might've put up the act to make her leave him. Too bad, fans will never know the truth.
