While the manga and anime may have been titled Naruto, there's no doubt that much of the show's progression can be attributed to Sasuke Uchiha. He played the part of both best friend and antagonist towards Naruto, and his growth was just as explosive and varied as the knuckle headed ninja himself.

Sasuke was a prodigy, and continued to become one of the most powerful ninja in the series. He learned and discovered a variety of jutsu, but some were doomed to fall off the grid. Whether he just had no use for them or the scope of his enemies just outgrew their effectiveness, there are several jutsu that Sasuke could use any time he wanted but decided at some point not to use them again.

10 Shadow Clone Jutsu

Sasuke Shadow Clone Jutsu

While Naruto has the claim to fame of using this jutsu, Sasuke is also very capable of performing this jutsu. However, knowing how to use a jutsu and having it fit your particular style is a whole different story. The shadow clone jutsu requires immense amounts of chakra to use effectively, and while Sasuke is no slouch in his chakra reserves, they still don't come close to what Naruto can do. Sasuke's fighting style also revolved around speed and precision, and wasting chakra on shadow clones doesn't effectively help him in battle.

9 Naraka Path

Pain Naraka Path

The Naraka path may seem out of place here, considering it was Pain that actually utilized this lethal jutsu. Ever since Sasuke got the Rinnegan, this ability also became available to him. The Naraka path is a jutsu dealing with healing and the truth. While Sasuke does tend to get his hands dirty and wouldn't be afraid to resort to interrogation, he has other options that wouldn't risk killing the person he needs information from. The healing aspect could be useful, but as of yet he hasn't even attempted to use this jutsu for either purpose.

8 Binding Snake Glare Spell

Binding Snake Glare Spell Sasuke

While this jutsu doesn't appear very powerful on the surface, the snakes that are summoned are both intelligent and strong. Even high level ninja struggle to escape from their grasp. Sasuke still has an affinity with snakes and is still very capable of utilizing this jutsu, but he chooses not to.

It's not stated whether he avoids using snake-like abilities ever since his fallout with Orochimaru, but either way he no longer attempts to use this ability. This could be due to the fact that his Susanoo has a stronger grip and is controlled directly by him instead of summoning snakes to handle it.

7 Fire Release: Great Dragon Fire Technique

Sasuke Great Dragon Fire Technique

This is an incredibly strong jutsu that requires a lot of chakra, but it is also extremely effective. Sasuke used it with amazing results in his fight against Itachi, but hasn't used it since. Sasuke relies on his speed and Sharingan/Rinnegan to defeat most opponents and only seems to unleash jutsus like this when his opponent cannot be rushed down, surprised, or tossed into a genjutsu. This was impressive when first used but he hasn't felt the need to use it since. For the most part, Sasuke used this jutsu as a setup for a more powerful one as opposed to defeating Itachi on its own.

6 Kirin

Sasuke Kirin vs Itachi

Kirin is one of Sasuke's most powerful jutsu, and yet he's only used it twice in the series. The reason is that there is the requirement of existing storm clouds, and the buildup process takes awhile to pull off. Sasuke's speed is one of his most effective traits, so it's natural that he wouldn't want to rely on a jutsu that hinders that. If there are no existing storm clouds, he has to create his own with powerful fire techniques like Amaterasu or the previously mentioned Great Dragon Fire Technique. Considering the only people he's used this on were Itachi and Naruto, it seems like he has other methods to handle his opponents.

5 Human Path

Pain Human Path

Another one of the paths available to users of the Rinnegan, the Human Path allows the user to tear out the soul of the victim and learn information that they know. Sasuke has followed a dark path over the years, but since acquiring the Rinnegan he's calmed down as far as being willing to casually kill other people. A technique like this is useful to have in his arsenal, but there's been no need to use it. He has other ways of gathering intelligence that don't involve leaving a trail of dead bodies.

4 Summoning Jutsu: Snake

Aoda Sasuke Summoning Snake

Sasuke originally summoned Orochimaru's shared snake, Manda. After using Manda as a shield to save himself from an enormous explosion, Sasuke formed a bond with Aoda instead. Sasuke didn't use the summoning jutsu very often, and even less so after the war ended.

It got to the point where summoning Aoda doesn't really benefit Sasuke any more. Sasuke has grown powerful to the point that a giant snake doesn't add any advantages to him in battle, so Aoda has been taking a long vacation from needing to help Sasuke in battle.

3 Hidden Shadow Snake Hands Jutsu

Hidden Shadow Snake Hands Mitsuki Anko

This sneak attack employs snakes being summoned from the user's arms, and can be used offensively or to pull the user around their environment. Sasuke utilized this jutsu on several occasions when he was allied with Orochimaru, but once they parted ways he stopped using most of his snake related jutsus. Another reason Sasuke doesn't use this jutsu is that he no longer needs it. He's much faster than the snakes, so using them for a surprise attack is actually a hindrance. If he needs to shift his position on a battlefield, he uses the more efficient space warping jutsu from his Rinnegan instead. He's merely outgrown this jutsu.

2 Lion Combo

Lion Combo Chunin Exam Yoroi

Lion combo, or lions barrage, is a taijutsu move that Sasuke styled off of Rock Lee after being beaten by him. This was the first instance of the Sharingan's ability to copy physical movements coming into play for Sasuke. He ended up naming this crushing taijutsu combo the Lion combo, but then promptly decided to not really use it again. Eventually he decided to start using a sword or the Susanoo for most close combat, so this jutsu ended up being left in the dust. He's still very capable of pulling it off, but there's no point when he can just slash someone with his superior speed.

1 Scorch Style: Nimbus Tempest

Nimbus Tempest Naruto Sasuke Combo

The Nimbus Tempest is one of a multitude of combo moves that Sasuke can pull off with Naruto's help, but it only came into affect once. This mixture of the Rasenshuriken and Amaterasu's black flames was an impressive and powerful jutsu, but the power up they both received after this justu's creation made the combination of Susanoo and Kurama far more effective. Sasuke has no need to perform a jutsu like this any more because if an enemy requires him to team up with Naruto to defeat, a fire soaked rasenshuriken won't be close to enough to help them.
