Chidori is a jutsu created by Kakashi Hatake to add nature transformation to the Rasengan. This jutsu ended up becoming his go-to technique and eventually came to be known as Raikiri. During the Chunin Exams arc, Kakashi also taught the Chidori to Sasuke Uchiha, his student, and ever since then, this jutsu has become one of his signature techniques.

Over the years in Naruto, Sasuke has developed and used many Chidori variants, some stronger than others, but all of them are powerful in their own right. Sasuke has different versions of his signature jutsu Chidori throughout the Naruto series. Here are the 10 strongest forms of the Uchiha's jutsu that fans mayーor may notーhave noticed.

7 Chidori Katana

Sasuke using Chidori Light Sword in Naruto Shippuden

Chidori Katana is one of the many techniques that Sasuke Uchiha developed after the time-skip in Naruto. Thanks to Orochimaru's training, Sasuke's control over the lightning style reached a point where he could easily channel the power of Chidori through his katana.

Upon stabbing the victim, the sword's current flowing makes their muscles contract and numbs their body, making it extremely difficult to counter for even the most experienced shinobi out there. Sasuke used this power on Yamato and easily took him down in battle. One of the few ways to get around this ability is to use a weapon that's also channeling lightning release in return, as Killer Bee did when the two fought.

6 Chidori Stream

Another Jutsu developed by Sasuke during his training with Orochimaru, Chidori Stream, is a smart and effective way to counter and weaken nearly any opponent standing in his way. When used, Sasuke produces a strong electrical discharge from his body over a range of at least 5 meters, and anyone coming in contact with it is affected by its power quite easily.

It is powerful enough to paralyze multiple enemies at once, and what's more, it can also act as a perfect defense against incoming enemies. To use it over a higher range, Sasuke can also use the ground to channel its powers. Undoubtedly, this form of Chidori is deadly, even if it's not been utilized much in the series.

5 Chidori

Chidori Sasuke Boruto

The original jutsu, Chidori, was taught to Sasuke by Kakashi Hatake shortly before his fight against Gaara of the Desert. To use this jutsu, Sasuke collects chakra in his palm and then applies lightning release to it, making it visible and giving off a chirping sound.

The purpose of the Chidori is to stab through anyone, and if it makes contact, it can kill the opponent in one-shot. Chidori's power varies on how good the user is with lightning release. It's Sasuke's primary nature. It is powerful enough to take down even the strongest of characters. When used via the Cursed Seal of Heaven chakra, it gets stronger and becomes black in color. Similar effects are shown when it is powered with Six Paths chakra.

4 Chidori Sharp Spear

Sasuke Chidori

Chidori Sharp Spear is a technique developed by Sasuke to counter the original Chidori's weaknesses, that is, a risk of getting hit himself. Using a very high-level shape transformation, Sasuke can manipulate the Chidori in his palm and turn it into a lance that can hit anyone over a range of over 5 meters.

Once it stabs the opponent, Sasuke can use shape manipulation to turn it into different weapons and inflict further damage to the opponent.

3 Chidori Senbon

Like Chidori Sharp Spear, this technique also sees Sasuke use shape transformation to the Chidori, turning it into needles that can be thrown at the target from a long-range. By firing them off in quick succession, they are almost impossible to dodge in combat, and upon hitting the target, they are powerful enough to paralyze them.

Thanks to the Sharingan, Sasuke can identify the opponent's vitals and hit time with this technique without much trouble. After acquiring the Tailed Beasts' power, Sasuke could use massive Senbon from his Susanoo that could even counter Naruto's Senjutsu-enhanced Tailed Beast Balls. Although considered as a basic jutsu by some fans, this Chidori variant is one of the strongest and most frequent variant Sasuke uses throughout the series.

2 Susanoo: Chidori

Susanoo Chidori

As the name suggests, Susanoo Chidori is a far stronger version of the regular Chidori, where Sasuke Uchiha utilizes the Complete Body: Susanoo to channel the Chidori. By gathering large amounts of chakra in the left palm of the Susanoo, Sasuke can use a much stronger version of this technique.

It debuted against Naruto Uzumaki and was powerful enough to counter his Tailed Beast Ball, which was, more likely than not, enhanced with Six Paths chakra.

1 Kagutsuchi Chidori

Kagutsuchi Chidori

Sasuke Uchiha used this form of Chidori in his final fight against Naruto Uzumaki at the Valley of the End. To defeat Naruto, Sasuke added Blaze Release: Kagutsuchi to the Chidori, making it even stronger. Along with the piercing power of the Chidori, it also gained the burning power of the Amaterasu.

When it clashed with Naruto Uzumaki's final Six Paths Rasengan, it destroyed the Valley of the End's statues. Also, it destroyed the arms of Sasuke Uchiha and Naruto Uzumaki. It remains to be the strongest Chidori variant seen from Sasuke to this day, even in the sequel series, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.
