Sasuke Uchiha is one of the main characters of Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto series, next to only Naruto Uzumaki. He bears tremendous importance to the Uchiha Clan plotline and plays a huge role in the story moving forward.
The path Sasuke's takes in the story is more complicated than one would expect from one of the main characters, making him quite an intriguing character. Yet at the same time, it leads him to do some incredibly awful things that make him one of the worst characters in the series.

Sasuke is one of the most conflicted characters in the Naruto series. Although he doesn't show it, Sasuke has had to make some hard decisions in his life for the sake of his goal. A part of him never wanted to leave Konoha, yet he had to do so to kill Itachi.
In his final fight against Naruto, Sasuke acknowledged that Naruto was the most important person to him but his hatred consumed him at one point, and once again, he was set free by Naruto.

Sasuke Uchiha's decision to leave the village to seek revenge for the slaughter of his clan was understandable, however, he chose to join Orochimaru, someone who had attempted to destroy Konoha in the past.
What's more, he even joined the Akatsuki and attacked Kumogakure without a second thought, worsening Konohagakure's bond with other villages.

Through Sasuke, Masashi Kishimoto often depicted the other side of reality. Where Naruto was kind and forgiving, Sasuke was cold and sought revenge. Karin described Naruto as someone with a warm chakra, while Sasuke was shrouded in darkness.
Even after breaking free of his curse, Sasuke is a character who is not as soft as Naruto, and for that, he's quite loved by the fans.

Sasuke's journey has been full of ups and downs and being an Uchiha only added to his troubles. To grow stronger, Sasuke attempted to sever every bond that he shared with Naruto, and to do that, he even went as far as attempting to kill him.
As his curse grew stronger, he started caring less about the worth of the bonds he had and wouldn't think twice before killing Naruto. The only reason he stopped was that Naruto forced him to put his faith in him after defeating him.
4 BEST CHARACTER: He Has The Perfect Redemption Arc
Sasuke's character arc concludes with him fighting against Naruto Uzumaki and losing to him, finally acknowledging him, and admitting his defeat. Although Sasuke wanted to die, Naruto made him live and help him maintain peace.
While he did a lot of terrible things, Sasuke was eventually spared but he set out on a journey to redeem himself. He now spends his life protecting the village and supporting Naruto in every way he can.

After finding out the truth about Itachi, Sasuke directed all his hatred toward Konohagakure. While him targeting those directly responsible for making Itachi suffer made sense for his character, making everyone suffer because of his loss was not.
Sasuke wanted to kill every innocent person who was enjoying peace thanks to Itachi's sacrifice. His motivations were beyond understanding at this point, and what he planned on doing was irredeemable.

Sasuke Uchiha is one of the strongest characters in the world of Naruto. By the end of the series, he was known to be second only to Naruto Uzumaki.
After gaining the Rinnegan, Sasuke became one of the greatest fighters of all time, and his unique fighting style that sees him make use of his eyes truly made him one of the most likable characters in the story.
1 WORST CHARACTER: He Wanted To Execute The Five Kage
After Kaguya Otsutsuki was eventually sealed, Sasuke declared his goal of starting a revolution by killing Naruto Uzumaki, severing every bond he had, killing the Tailed Beasts, and executing the Five Kage.
By doing this, Sasuke would've plunged the world into an era of darkness once again and completely destroyed the relationship that Konohagakure shared with other villages.
