When Sakura secured a position on Team 7, she immediately became one of the lead characters in Naruto. Her position on the team led her into dangerous situations along with Sasuke, Naruto, and Kakashi. While she had plenty of time to hone and perfect her skill as a ninja, she often ended up failing.

When Sakura first found out she was going to be on the same team as Sasuke, she was overjoyed. She hoped their status as teammates would give them the perfect opportunity to spend some time together. To her surprise, Sasuke approached her first, but she failed to notice that this Sasuke was actually Naruto in disguise.

When the actual Sasuke showed up, Sakura began criticizing Naruto for not having parents. Somehow Sakura didn't know about the Uchiha massacre or the death of Sasuke's parents. Despite claiming to love Sasuke, she hadn't managed to learn anything about him.

Sakura showed a lot of skill early on. She was the smartest person on Team 7, she had the best chakra control, and even Sasuke praised her genjutsu abilities. Despite all that praise, she is often considered the weakest member of the team.

In the early days, she managed to quickly master climbing a tree with the aid of chakra. That may have been the last time she managed to outshine her teammates. After that, she couldn't keep up with Naruto and Sasuke's rapid improvements.

Ino showed that she still cared for Sakura when she came to her aid during the second stage of the Chunin Exams. The two were matched up for a one-on-one battle during the next exam phase, and though Sakura fought admirably, the fight ended in a tie. She was the only member of her team who did not win.

Sakura showed just how far behind her teammates she'd fallen when she fought against Gaara. She was quickly and easily captured by the enemy ninja. Under normal circumstances, Sasuke could have defended her, but he was still recovering from an attack by Orochimaru and was incapacitated fairly quickly.

If it hadn't been for Naruto making impressive improvements, Sakura could have been killed. If she had been training as much as her teammates, she wouldn't have been such an easy target.

After all, Sakura had made her love for Sasuke no secret.

When she finally did react, she ended up being saved by Yamato. If Sakura had acted more quickly, things might have gone differently. But when she froze up, she became part of the reason why Sasuke was able to defeat her team.

4 She Provided Little Aid In The Fight Against Kaguya

When Team 7 clashed against Kaguya, they were fighting for the fate of the world. Naruto and Sasuke did a better job of keeping up with their ancestor's incredible power.

Sakura, meanwhile, was pushed to her limit. While she was able to aid her teammates early on, she eventually had to leave the fighting to Naruto and Sasuke. The world could have used her help, but she just wasn't strong enough to battle Kaguya.

In response, Sasuke knocked her out and left her alone on a bench. She was the only person who could have convinced Sasuke to stay behind, and if she had been successful, the village would have been spared a lot of pain in the future. Unfortunately, she couldn't get Sasuke to listen.

When Sakura realized that Sasuke had truly become evil, she resolved to stop him. She had already knocked out all her allies and decided to go after him by herself.

Sakura went to great lengths for a chance to be alone with Sasuke, but in spite of all that effort, she continued to fail. Any time she had an opening to attack Sasuke, she froze. Her inability to stand up to Sasuke could have spelled doom for her village.

1 She Never Moved On With Her Life

Naruto _ New Era Sakura and Sasuke

Sakura's love for Sasuke led to a lot of pain. She couldn't convince him to rejoin Konoha, and even when Sasuke did something wrong, Sakura continued to hold him in high regard.

She spent years without seeing or talking to him, yet he still held a place in her heart. No matter what Sasuke did, Sakura continued to love someone who didn't seem to return her feelings. She had plenty of time and opportunity to move on.
