In the world of Naruto, there are tons of individual clans in Konohagakure, each with their own abilities and characteristics. Some are incredibly powerful in terms of physical strength, while others rely on intelligence or genjutsu.

Needless to say, most of the characters in this series have remarkable talents, but someone has to be the weakest or the lowest in their group. Also, this list is not including characters from Boruto, so the strength of characters will be based solely on Naruto and Naruto Shippuden.

10 Aburame Clan: Shino

shino aburame is standing there in the naruto anime

The Aburame family is a clan that resides in Konohagakure who have unique techniques utilizing their relationship with insects. Though it's true that none of these clan members are weak by any means, certain individuals either outrank others, such as Shibi since he's the head of the clan, or Torune who had special abilities.

That being said, it is most likely that Shino is the lowest on the totem pole by default. Other Aburame clansmen held positions in the Anbu or outranked him since he was only a Chūnin, compared to jōnin. Shino is also one of the youngest Aburame members, an incredibly powerful character who just happens to be in the already massively powerful Aburame clan.

9 Akimichi Clan: Makaro

Another clan hailing from Konohagakure, the Akimichi have the ability to manipulate their bodies to grow in size. Many members are powerful and have been known to help the village in times of peril. One of the lesser-known characters, whose name is Makaro, was shown doing exactly that during the Fourth Shinobi World War.

Unfortunately, he wasn't seen to be doing much, and in addition to his Chūnin status, it is safe to assume that Makaro is probably one of the weakest members of the Akimichi clan.

8 Hyūga Clan: Natsu

Masters of the Byakugan, the Hyūga clan have the ability to sense the chakra circulatory system and possess a huge field of vision. However, some members are unable to manifest the power of the clan's eyes, making them inherently weaker than those who can. One of which who is arguably the weakest member of the clan is Natsu Hyūga, a maid and caretaker of the clan heiress Hanabi. She only made a few appearances in the series, but when she did, she was not shown to have the clan's coveted Byakugan activated.

7 Inuzuka Clan: Hana

The Inuzuka clan are members of Konohagakure who run in packs; their clan teams up with ninja dogs known as ninken as fighting and personal companions. However, there aren't a lot of clan members known, making the search for the weakest a bit blurred.

Though it could be argued that since Hana Inuzuka, sister of main character Kiba, is mainly an animal medic, she could be lacking physically in comparison to the other members of the clan.

6 Nara Clan: Yoshino

A clan known for their shadow control powers and advanced intellect, the Nara members of Konohagakure are definitely an asset to the village with their strategic minds and abilities. Both Shikaku and his son Shikamaru served as aids to the respective Hokage, proving how valuable and sought after their contributions were. Though, Shikaku's wife Yoshino is arguably the weakest member of the clan. She has shown talent in terms of physical strength but unfortunately appears to be lacking in the Nara shadow control.

5 Sarutobi Clan: Konohamuru

Needless to say, Konohamaru Sarutobi has grown into a fine shinobi in the series' sequel Boruto. But, during Shippuden, the young Konohamaru is definitely the weakest member of his clan. His ability to use the Rasengan, Naruto's signature move, was impressive since he was only a genin ranked ninja. However, he was unable to participate in the Fourth Shinobi World War due to his low rank and age, while other members of his clan did.

So, even though he grows up to be big and strong, a well-respected ninja of Konohagakure in Boruto, in the Naruto series, he is the weakest member of the Sarutobi clan.

4 Senju Clan: Nawaki

Nawaki and Tsunade

One of the founding clans of Konohagakure, the Senju clan were renowned for their chakra stamina, their life force, and their the philosophy known as the Will of Fire. Three Senju clan members -- Hashirama, Tobirama, and Tsunade -- each were also able to achieve the status of Hokage, undeniably a testament to their skill.

With all that being said, someone has to be the weakest. Unfortunately, that could potentially be Tsunade's little brother, Nawaki Senju. Sadly, he died in battle at the age of 12 and was unable to show whatever abilities he may have possessed.

3 Uchiha Clan: Izumi

It's hard to argue that any Uchiha member could be considered weak. The massively powerful Sharingan, which literally translates to Copy Wheel Eye, only manifests in certain members of the clan, though most are shown to have it unless they are very young. Debatedely, Izumi was one of the weakest members of the clan. Only one of her parents was an Uchiha, which consequently made it difficult for her to handle the kekkei genkai.

2 Uzumaki Clan: Karin

The namesake of the series' main character, the Uzumaki clan was known for their sealing techniques and intense life forces. Numerous clan members, such as Mito, Kushina, and Naruto, were even able to suppress or harness the power of the Nine-Tailed Fox within themselves as Jinchūriki.

So, when compared to these characters, it is clear that Karin Uzumaki is the weakest in the clan. Now, that's not to say she doesn't have incredibly beneficial talents and abilities, it's just that she can't match up to the rest of the clan in terms of strength.

1 Yamanaka Clan: Ino

Last but now least, the Yamanaka clan is a group that has mind manipulation techniques. Unfortunately, there are not a ton of members featured in the series, and those that are have been ANBU members or high ranking shinobi. That being said, it is likely that Ino Yamanaka is the weakest member of her clan, due to her young age and her relatively low rank of Chūnin.
