Although not quite to the extent of planet-busters, Naruto features some overpowered techniques synonymous with destruction. Whenever these techniques see the light of the day, destruction will ensue. Luckily, all these ridiculously overpowered techniques were in the confines of the world’s logic. Naruto might've created some controversies regarding its worldbuilding, but these issues do not extend to the series’ power system.

Furthermore, when the series’ main cast – who mostly possess monstrous strength – use these already overwhelming techniques, boundaries get broken. While it’s true that they do not get used on occasional basis, they still get their room to shine every now and then.

10 Gaara: Sand Manipulation

Naruto_ gaara

Gaara is unlike conventional shinobi. His arsenal, which is very limited, is nearly all-encompassing. His Sand Manipulation covers all aspects of battle – offense, defense, as well as mobility.

Most of the techniques Gaara uses are unnamed as they fall under Sand Manipulation’s umbrella. Some of the ones known for their strength are ‘Extreme Tempered Ultimate Attack: Shukaku's Pike’ and ‘Ultimate Defence: Shukaku's Shield’. True to their name, these techniques are (were) Gaara at his best.

9 Shikamaru: Shadow–Neck Binding Technique

The Nara Clan’s flagship jutsu, Shadow Imitation Technique, is a technique with multiple abilities on its name. Shadow-Neck Binding Technique (Suffocating Darkness) is one that supplements the user’s offense. It’s a sure-kill technique that ends it all in one swift motion. The very same shadow that immobilized the target will creep up and suffocate them to death.

8 Hinata: Twin Lion Fist: Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms

Hinata Hyuga Twin Lion Fist

The Hyuga are known for their conservativeness. As such, all their techniques are developed in accordance with their traditions. It’s seldom that a member of the Hyuga Clan steps out of their conservative bubble to experiment with new things. Hinata’s genius manifested itself with the Twin Lion Fist. Relying solely on trial and error, she succeeded in the unprecedented act of developing her very own jutsu at a young age.

7 Jiraiya: Ultra-Big Ball Rasengan

Jiraiya Rasengan on Pain

As one of the pioneers of Rasengan, Jiraiya’s area of expertise regarding the technique is more than noteworthy – albeit not on Naruto’s level. Ultra-Big Ball Rasengan is as far as Jiraiya reached with regards to the technique.

Although it appears rather unimpressive when compared to the more striking Rasengan techniques, this Ultra-Big Ball Rasengan has been refined by the Perverted Sage for decades. It’s more than capable of incapacitating 99% of the world’s shinobi.

6 Itachi: Izanami

Naruto _ Itachi is killed by his brother Sasuke

If the technique wasn’t limited by usage time, Izanami would’ve been much more overpowered. It’s a technique that literally bends reality; the apex of what the Uchiha Clan’s Mangekyo Sharingan is able to achieve. In the series’ main plotline, Izanami was only used once. The pseudo-immortal Kabuto fell victim to its prowess; he stood no chance whatsoever against the technique's unreal might.

5 Sakura: Ninja Art: Mitotic Regeneration: One Hundred Healings

Sakura Awakening Her Strength Of A Hundred Healing Seal During the War In Naruto Shippuden

Ninja Art: Mitotic Regeneration is at the extremes of medical techniques – the very pinnacle. It was developed by Tsunade and later passed on to Sakura. The latter polished it to further heights. Hundred Healings Jutsu is the derivative of the aforementioned technique. It boosts the user’s physical strength to inhumane levels while maintaining the rapid regeneration of its parent jutsu. It's a combination that carried Tsunade to kage-hood.

4 Kakashi: Kamui Lightning Blade

Kakashi both sharingan

Of course, the current Kakashi can not pull off such a technique. After all, Kamui Lightning Blade is a technique that can only be accessed once a handful of extreme conditions are met. Kamui (a Mangekyo Sharingan exclusive technique) and the Six Paths Power are at the forefront of said conditions.

Naturally, this technique is beyond formidable. Only a select few of the Naruto verse will be able to counter it.

3 Orochimaru: Summoning Jutsu: Reanimation

Orochimaru reanimates the kage

Summoning Jutsu: Reanimation is one of the many techniques up Orochimaru’s sleeves. As the individual in question is unrivaled in the jutsu research department, it’s only natural that he would have a handful of forbidden techniques. Reanimation Jutsu allows the user to literally reanimate the dead. Depending on the user’s chakra reserves and level of expertise, they are able to reanimate even heavy-hitters on the level of Kages.

2 Sasuke: Indra's Arrow

Sasuke's Susanoo creating Indra's Arrow (Naruto)

Susanoo is made possible by the awakening of Mangekyo Sharingan. Some might even argue that it – alongside its derivative techniques – stand at the peak of what Sharingan has to offer.

It’s quite possibly the strongest offensive technique in Naruto. It takes Sasuke the Complete Body Susanoo on top of the combined chakra of the Tailed Beasts to be able to release it. In spite of the technique’s nature type inferiority (Lightning Release), it was able to compete with Naruto’s ‘Six Paths: Ultra Big Ball Rasenshuriken (Wind Release) without losing – a testament to its strength.

Even with natural superiority on its side, Ultra Big Ball Rasenshuriken was incapable of overwhelming Indra’s Arrow. Then again, the latter is a technique that might not be able to see the light of the day ever again. Unlike Sasuke who lost one of the vital aspects that power Indra's Arrow – Tailed Beasts chakra – Naruto still has access to Six Paths Mode. Hence, he will be able to use the technique whenever he sees fit.
