Madara Uchiha is considered to be one of the greatest characters in the world of Naruto and a legendary figure whose powers know no bounds. Born on the battlefield, Madara honed his skills by fighting those in his way right from a young age. He managed to rise to the very top of his era and got his name written in history books because of what he achieved.

10 Izuna Uchiha
Izuna Uchiha was the brother of Madara and one of the few who survived the Warring States Period in the Naruto world. Being Madara's only support during their time growing up, Izuna and Madara would fight often to push each other further.
The two probably never fought with killing intent towards the other, which means they always held back when training. Nonetheless, Izuna was powerful enough to rank among the strongest that his brother ever fought.
9 Tobirama Senju
One of the biggest rivals of Madara Uchiha, Tobirama was a massive figure during the Warring States Era, and the two likely fought several times during it. Madara was, undoubtedly, stronger than Tobirama, which is why he mostly fought his brother, Hashirama Senju.
During the Fourth Great Ninja War, Tobirama and Madara fought again, only for the latter to completely humiliate him in battle.
8 Shinobi Alliance
Perhaps the most exciting fight with this legendary Uchiha in the series, Madara took on the Shinobi Alliance after being reanimated by Kabuto Yakushi and being summoned on the battlefield by Mu.
In a spectacular display, Madara was able to take on and defeat nearly the entirety of the alliance which included the likes of Gaara, Onoki, and even a shadow clone of Naruto with the powers of Sage Mode and Kurama.
7 Kurama
After watching Hashirama become the First Hokage of Konohagakure, Madara Uchiha decided to defect from the place and prepare to battle Hashirama. To improve his chances of beating the First Hokage, Madara decided to fight and subdue the Nine-Tails, also called Kurama.
He achieved this with the power of his Mangekyo Sharingan and gained full control over it as a summon. While the two never engaged in full-on combat, Madara having the Sharingan meant that Kurama was always bound to lose to him.
6 Five Kage
Shortly after being reanimated, Madara Uchiha was faced with the combined force of the Kage of all the great shinobi villages. Taking them all on at the same time was, perhaps, a big ask for most, however, for Madara Uchiha, it was nothing short of child's play.
Thanks to the power of the Rinnegan and the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, Madara was able to defeat all five of them and leave them in a near-death state. All this was accomplished without him even going all out.
5 Minato Namikaze
Madara and Minato traded blows for the first time during the Fourth Great Ninja War. With the powers of the Yin-half of Kurama, Minato gained tremendous power that allowed him to take on most people.
During his fight against Madara, he tapped into his Sage Mode powers to inflict damage, however, Madara's Six Paths powers were way too great for Minato to even comprehend. The Fourth Hokage ended up losing his arm to Madara and was pushed back within any trouble whatsoever.
4 Hashirama Senju
The biggest rival of Madara Uchiha, Hashirama was the First Hokage of Konohagakure. Having grown up together, the two shared quite a great bond with each other, however, it worsened over time.
They fought several times throughout their lifetime and Hashirama is known to have won most of them. During the Fourth Great Ninja War, they went head-to-head once again, but there, Madara Uchiha was too much for Hashirama to handle.
3 Might Guy
Might Guy took on Madara in what turned out to be one of the greatest fights in the Fourth Great Ninja War. As taijutsu was one of the only effective abilities against Madara, Guy opened all eight of the Inner Gates and overwhelmed Madara in combat.
Upon using Night Guy, he blew away the left side of Madara and nearly killed him, however, failed to win. Although he lost, Guy earned great praise from Madara and became the strongest character that he had fought until that moment.
2 Sasuke Uchiha
Sasuke and Madara fought twice during the Fourth Great Ninja War. The first time they crossed fists, Sasuke was easily defeated by Madara and left to die.
After meeting Hagoromo Otsutsuki, Sasuke managed to gain Six Paths Yin powers and awaken the Rinnegan. This made him quite powerful and he gained enough strength to fight against and overwhelm Madara Uchiha.
1 Naruto Uzumaki
The strongest enemy that Madara fought in the story was, undoubtedly, Naruto Uzumaki. Like Sasuke, Naruto was left in a near-death state by Madara Uchiha. However, thanks to Obito, he was rescued.
Acquiring Six Paths powers, Naruto was able to take on and even overwhelm Madara Uchiha in combat. Unfortunately, the fight between the two was never guy completed as Kaguya Otsutsuki was brought back at the expense of Madara.
