The love that Naruto and Hinata had for each other can't ever be doubted. They were the cutest pairing in the entire series and were perfect for one another, unlike some of the other relationships that felt random. Their bond built slowly throughout the series, culminating in the excellent Naruto: The Last Movie.

For much of it, the love was entirely Hinata's, lusting after Naruto from afar. That all changed by the time the war rolled around when Naruto showed more and more of his love for her.

10 He Dedicated His Whole Fight Against Neji To Her

Early on in the series, the love was mostly from Hinata because Naruto was a little too dense to understand such concepts yet. At that stage, he only cared about having friends. He considered Hinata one, despite his poor first impressions. It's why the entire fight against Neji centered around what he did to her and how Naruto had to avenge her defeat. Even after he defeated Neji, his first thoughts were about whether or not Hinata was watching.

One of the first times the two of them finally express any feelings for one another is when Hinata steps in to protect Naruto from Pain during their fight in Konoha. While she does most of the confessing here, Naruto's reaction to it tells the audience everything it needs to know. The way he flies off the handle is greater than the two of them being friends. He reacts like he just lost the love of his life, willing to do anything to avenge her.

8 He Saved Her From Disguised White Zetsu

Once Naruto and Killer B escaped captivity and entered the war, the first thing Naruto did was root out all of the hidden White Zetsus whose copies were indistinguishable from the real people for everyone other than Naruto.

Due to his Nine-Tails Chakra Mode, Naruto was able to see the malice in their hearts, seeing through the disguise. This let him save Hinata, as well as other ninja. Before departing, he makes sure to tell her that he knows she can take care of herself and that he's just returning the favor for all the times she helped him.

After Neji sacrificed himself to save the loving couple, Naruto began to fall into despair and started questioning himself. Hinata wasn't having it, talking him out of giving up and saying everyone was counting on him. Rather than taking that to mean he needed to do it alone, Naruto's first act was grabbing her hand and sharing his chakra. It showed that his true power was always those close to him and that he couldn't do it without her.

6 He Saved Her From Being Abducted By Toneri Otsutsuki

After Hinata ran away from Naruto due to embarrassment over the special attention he'd been getting since the war, he gave chase. It's a good thing he did as Hinata was soon attacked by the puppets of Toneri Otsutsuki, who sought to capture a Hyuga for his plans. He had to settle for Hanabi after Naruto managed to protect Hinata from the attempted kidnapping by defeating the army of puppets. While protecting her was nice, it's the fact he ran after her in the first place that shows his care.

While on the moon to save Hinata's kidnapped sister, Hanabi, the rescue team was bombarded with memories of their past thanks to a genjutsu. It's these memories that made Naruto realize how much he cared for Hinata and that he loved her as much as she loved him.

That caused him to set out looking for her after he noticed she was no longer part of the group, spotting her speaking with Toneri. He promptly killed the puppet and said he wouldn't let her out of his sight, fearing too much for her safety.

4 He Confessed His Love To Her & The Two Shared Their First Kiss

Nothing shows off the love you have for someone quite like saying those three sacred words, and that's what Naruto finally managed to do with Hinata in Naruto: The Last. It was a little awkward at first, but once he got around to it, Hinata couldn't hold back her emotions any longer, tears streaming down her face as he launched them skyward to share their first kiss. In a movie that was all about their love, this remains one of the best scenes in it.

3 His Personality Always Shifts When He's Around Her

By the time of their wedding, Naruto had grown into a far more serious character, morphing into someone who was more than worthy of the title of Hokage. Hinata was one of only a few people who could break this, reverting him back into the more innocent and fun-loving person he used to be. It's shown perfectly at the very end of Shippuden when he becomes bashful around her, a trait he'd long ago discarded around others. It's always said people are at their purest around the person they love, and it's true of Naruto.

2 The Two Of Them Have Two Kids Together

There are few greater signs of love than getting married and having kids together. Starting a family shows that you want to spend the rest of your life with someone more than just saying the words do. This is especially true when it's more than one kid, showing that neither of them was some form of a happy accident. While Naruto isn't able to be as involved as he used to, having a family has always been one of Hinata's goals, and she genuinely enjoys being a mother.

1 He Regrets That He Can't Be More Apart Of His Kids' Lives

As a Hokage, Naruto struggles to find time to be a proper parent, placing a large burden on Hinata to essentially operate as a single parent. It's something that Naruto himself is well aware of and apologizes for. He feels bad that he can't be there for his kids, and that it puts a lot of stress on Hinata. While his position keeps him from being able to change the matter, Naruto at least knows that love and parenting are a partnership that should be shared.
