The Steam Ninja Scrolls follows Kakashi, Guy and Mirai as the former two travel in search of the hot springs and Mirai, assigned by Naruto, escorts them. However, the three encounter some challenges, including an enormous boulder blocking the hot spring in one village and a mystery involving a string of kidnappings. The light novel was adapted into Episodes 106 to 119 of the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations anime.
