Jewelry brand Mister SFC has partnered with the anime/manga juggernaut Naruto to create a new collection of rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings and pendants.
The collection, which is now available on Mister SFC's official online store, draws inspiration from some of the series's most iconic weapons, including Asuma's chakra blades, Zabuza's sword, Minato's and Zaku's kunai, Naruto's Rasenshuriken and the 1,000 Years of Death handsign. The various jewelry pieces are created from high-quality stainless steel and are completed with either a gold, chrome or black finishing. Prices start at $32.
The Naruto manga by Masashi Kishimoto was first published in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump on Sept. 21, 1999, and ran until Nov. 10, 2014, accumulating 72 volumes worth of content. The story of the titular Naruto Uzumaki, a young ninja who seeks recognition and dreams of attaining the rank of Hokage, the leader of his village, received critical praise and quickly gained a passionate fan following, having sold over 250 million copies globally. It inspired an anime adaptation, which was produced by animation Studio Pierrot (Kingdom, Yu Yu Hakusho) and directed by Hayato Date (Saiyuki: Requiem, Tokyo Underground). In 2020, the anime was the third most-watched show in the United States.
Naruto also inspired multiple films, spin-offs, video games, light novels and even a trading card game, and it received a sequel series, Boruto: Naruto Next Generation, which follows Naruto's son. The anime debuted in 2017 and is currently ongoing. Another Pierrot production, Boruto is directed by Noriyuki Abe (The Seven Deadly Sins, Divine Gate) with Makoto Uezu (Assassination Classroom, My Bride is a Mermaid) overseeing the series composition, Hideyuki Ueno (Ace of Diamond, Gungrave) supervising the art direction, Mai Masuno (The Last: Naruto the Movie, Boruto: Naruto the Movie) serving as the director of photography and Yasushi Nagura (Arifureta - From Commonplace to World's Strongest, Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon - The Second Act) leading the sound direction.
Mister SFC isn't the only brand to collaborate with Naruto recently; for example, the popular sports clothing brand Champion released a line of hoodies and t-shirts based on the anime earlier this year and Epic Games has confirmed that a themed crossover campaign between Fortnite and Naruto: Shippuden is set to launch on Nov. 16. Moreover, Mister SFC isn't the only jewelry brand that has partnered with a popular anime series; U-Treasure previously released special tie-in jewelry collections for One Piece, Attack on Titan and Pokemon.
The complete Naruto anime adaptation is currently available to stream on Hulu, Netflix, Crunchyroll and Funimation, while Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is available to watch on Crunchyroll and Hulu.
