The Boruto fan goes on claim that the ninja series also inspired an epic fight scene in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Captain America: The Winter Solider. While some viewers like dasien sing the praises of the anime's visuals, others are much more critical. Many have described Boruto's animation as one of its largest weak points; for example, one online commentator highlighted a specific sequence where Naruto Sarada and Mitsuki bounce up and down instead of running.
Taking place after the anime classics Naruto and Naruto Shippuden, Boruto debuted in April 2017, with industry veteran Noriyuki Abe (Black Butler: Book of Circus) serving as the project's director.
