Dragon Ball Z is known for its powerful, world-ending characters. Since the beginning of the anime, Goku has broken his limits over & over again in order to defeat those who threaten his planet and loved ones. One of the last major tests for Goku in the original Dragon Ball was Frieza. A mutant prodigy possessing overwhelming power, Frieza is capable of destroying planets.
Because of Frieza's abilities, there aren't many anime characters who could take on the villain. However, there are anime out there that have characters with powers and abilities that can compete with Dragon Ball's most iconic antagonist. Naruto introduced shinobi with god-like abilities and inhuman willpower who would relish the opportunity to put Frieza in his place.
10 Minato Namikaze
The Fourth Hokage, 'the yellow flash', Minato Namikaze is the fastest shinobi in history. Using his space-time ninjutsu, Minato can travel great distances in an instant, making it almost impossible to damage the elusive ninja. He possesses destructive jutsu like the rasengan and toad summons to aid him in battle. Minato is supremely intelligent, receiving the highest scores in the history of the academy. His diversity combined with genius-intellect allow Minato to plan against and defeat anyone, including Frieza.
9 Hashirama Senju
Hailed as the "God Of Shinobi" for his unrivalled abilities, Hashirama was overpowered even in the Naruto universe. The first Hokage possessed huge chakra reserves, meaning he could fight for 24 hours with little fatigue. His unique physiology meant Hashirama could sustain almost any injury and regenerate.
In fact, his body was so powerful that his DNA was used to enhance the abilities of other ninjas. His strongest ability was his wood-style jutsu, combining water and earth to effortlessly produce massive wooden structures. While powerful, Frieza might struggle against Hashirama.
8 Itachi Uchiha
An Uchiha prodigy, Itachi possesses the strength and intelligence to compete with the best. His mastery of the Sharingan grant him access to overpowered abilities like Susanoo & Amaterasu, providing the shinobi with an impenetrable defense and substantial offense. It's Itachi's skill with genjutsu that would result in victory against Frieza. If the mutant lets his guard down for just a second, Itachi can activate Tsukuyomi, trapping Frieza in a world of his design where time is manipulated.
7 Madara Uchiha
A legendary figure in the ninja universe, Madara was special even by the Uchiha's lofty standards. The shinobi possessed massive amounts of chakra and was a user of the eternal mangekyou sharingan. With additional enhancements, Madara could enter sage mode and acquired the rinnegan, the most powerful ocular jutsu. What made the man so formidable was his unrivalled knowledge of shinobi history and jutsu. With such knowledge at his disposal, Madara could find a way to defeat Frieza.
6 Hagoromo Otsutsuki
A legendary figure responsible for the creation of the ninja world, Hagoromo is widely acknowledged as one of the most powerful characters in Naruto. He possessed the rinnegan, sharingan, and could use them simultaneously.
Hagoromo mastered all five elemental nature transformations in addition to sage mode. If that's not enough, he could make something out of nothing and bring it to life. With his arsenal of abilities, the Naruto legend could handle Frieza.
5 Naruto Uzumaki
The titular character, Naruto Uzumaki started off as an unsplendid ninja only to develop into one of the strongest shinobi in history. The Seventh Hokage possesses limitless abilities that make him a formidable opponent. As Jinchuriki of the nine-tailed fox, Naruto can call on vasts amount of chakra to perform powerful attacks such as rasenshuriken or multi-shadow clone jutsu. Naruto's speed is unrivaled, and is even strong enough to throttle the planet. Good luck, Frieza.
4 Sasuke Uchiha
Alongside Naruto, Sasuke is viewed as the strongest shinobi in the world. The gifted Uchiha has a mastery of his mangekyou sharingan, is capable in all facets of jutsu, and is a gifted swordsman. What sets the ninja apart is his skill with the rinnegan.
Using this ocular jutsu, Sasuke can swap places with people and objects, travel through dimensions, and see through almost any attack. Frieza possesses incredible physical feats, on par with Sasuke, but the ninja is too diverse and intelligent to lose this battle.
3 Kaguya Otsutsuki
Kaguya Otsutsuki is a legendary figure and the first chakra user in history. Blessed with enormous power and a god-complex, Kaguya was capable of taking over the world. Kaguya could perform interstellar travel, erase memories, and control her immediate environment.
She possessed the byakugan, sharingan, rinnegan, and mastered them all. Additionally, Kaguya can travel through rifts in time, making her untouchable. She is unquestionably the strongest Naruto character.
2 Obito Uchiha
Obito is another gifted Uchiha. An underwhelming ninja during childhood, Obito grew into one of the strongest shinobi in history under the tutelage of Madara Uchiha. Thanks to some Senju DNA, Obito could access the rinnegan, granting him a plethora of abilities.
However, it was his Kamui, a sharingan technique, that made him untouchable. Kamui can make the user's body intangible, meaning any attacks just pass through him. Frieza is capable of destroying moons and certainly has the firepower to hurt Obito, but landing a hit would prove difficult.
1 Might Guy
A somewhat controversial choice, Might Guy holds a trump card that could defeat Frieza. The taijutsu expert can open up the eight gates to take on the destructive mutant. In this form, Might Guy performs unrivalled physical feats. His strength & power reach inhuman levels and Guy's speed is so great that he bends space in the process. Combine these with his top-class taijutsu skills and the shinobi could take on Frieza in a physical battle. However, once this technique is performed, the user dies – so this one might be called a draw.
