Sasuke Uchiha is one of the protagonists of the Naruto, and thus an influential character throughout the series. Being an Uchiha clan member, Sasuke has the power of the Sharingan at his aid and over the years, he's mastered its usage.
Thanks to the Sage of Six Paths, Sasuke also gained the powers of the Rinnegan, something that makes him one of the most dangerous shinobi alive. It goes without saying that few characters in Narutoverse can match up to Sasuke if any and even fewer can beat him.
Updated on October 18th, 2020 by Josh Davison: Sasuke Uchiha is arguably tied with Naruto Uzumaki for being the most powerful shinobi in the world. Of course, this idea has been complicated by the coming of the Otsutsukis, but that doesn't change the fact that Naruto and Sasuke are two immensely formidable opponents. With the power of the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, Rinnegan, and his arsenal of ninjutsu, Sasuke Uchiha is one of the deadliest forces in the shinobi world. That said, there are still those who could potentially bring him down. With all of this considered, we here at CBR have decided to expand this list, with an additional two shinobi that could beat Sasuke...and another two that don't stand a chance.
14 CAN DEFEAT: Boruto Uzumaki
Boruto Uzumaki isn't currently at the place where he could beat Sasuke Uchiha, even with the powers he has usurped from the possessing spirit of Momoshiki Otsutsuki. However, Boruto is definitely on track to become a shinobi on par with his father and Sasuke.
This isn't saying that Boruto could take on Sasuke at this exact moment by a long shot, but his performance against Isshiki/Jigen shows that the sky is the limit for young Boruto.
13 CAN'T DEFEAT: Orochimaru
Orochimaru is one of the most formative tutors from Sasuke Uchiha's youth. Sasuke abandoned Konohagakure for the tutelage of Orochimaru, and the Legendary Sannin made good on helping form Sasuke into an incredibly powerful shinobi.
However, Sasuke has long surpassed the point at which Orochimaru left him. Even with Orochimaru's notorious ability to reincarnate and steal bodies, Sasuke would be able to lock him in an eternal genjutsu or simply dispatch each successive body with his ninjutsu.
12 CAN DEFEAT: Madara Uchiha
Madara Uchiha, at the point when he was betrayed by Zetsu, was an unfathomably powerful shinobi. The Rinnegan and the Ten-Tailed Beast made him virtually untouchable, even with the combined forces of Team 7 and the entire shinobi army at their back.
Madara only fell because of Zetsu's betrayal, and, though Team 7 may have theoretically been able to bring Madara down at some point, Sasuke Uchiha on his own would stand no chance against Madara at full power.
11 CAN'T DEFEAT: Kakashi Hatake
Kakashi Hatake was another formative teacher for Sasuke, most notably teaching the young shinobi the Chidori technique. During the Fourth Great Shinobi War, Kakashi Hatake was given a second Mangekyo Sharingan by Obito Uchiha, and this unleashed new untold power from Kakashi.
However, Kakashi wasn't born an Uchiha, and that has always hindered his stamina when using his most powerful jutsu techniques. Furthermore, Sasuke was able to obtain the Rinnegan Eye and the Eternal Mangekyo, giving him another edge against Kakashi. While Kakashi is a brilliant tactician and generally a powerful warrior, he just wouldn't be able to measure up to Sasuke Uchiha as he is now.
10 CAN DEFEAT: Naruto Uzumaki
Naruto is the Seventh Hokage of Konohagakure and the strongest shinobi alive right now. The only person known to be strong enough to fight him is Sasuke Uchiha, however, in their previous fight, Naruto emerged as the victor.
Although the two are at a similar level, in terms of power, Naruto has the edge when it comes to stamina and chakra.
9 CAN'T DEFEAT: Sakura Haruno
Sakura Haruno is a member of Team 7 and the apprentice of one of the Legendary Sannin, Tsunade Senju. Like her master, Sakura possesses tremendous strength. Her skills with medical ninjutsu are unmatched, making her a phenomenal support ninja.
When compared to Sasuke, however, Sakura is nowhere close. If the two ever clash, Sasuke will easily manage to defeat her.
8 CAN DEFEAT: Jigen
Jigen is the vessel of Isshiki Otsutsuki who partnered Kaguya Otsutsuki at some point. Currently, Jigen is the strongest known character in the world of Boruto. His powers were great enough to take on both Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha at the same time.
As the fight between the two unraveled, Jigen's superiority over both Naruto and Sasuke became quite apparent. It goes without saying that he's much stronger than Sasuke Uchiha, and is thus capable of defeating him in a fight.
7 CAN'T DEFEAT: Konohamaru Sarutobi
Konohamaru Sarutobi is a Jonin from Konoha who was once a member of Team Ebisu. Under the guidance of Naruto Uzumaki, he's become a terrific shinobi. He aims to become the Hokage of the village one day, however, he doesn't appear to be ready for the role yet.
While Konohamaru is strong, he still has a lot of room to grow. When compared to Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha, Konohamaru Sarutobi is extremely weak.
6 CAN DEFEAT: Momoshiki Otsutsuki
Momoshiki Otsutsuki is a major antagonist of the Boruto series. Although he was killed by Boruto Uzumaki, his spirit lives within him and has made him into his vessel. Momoshiki is quite strong and after having absorbed Kinshiki, he gained enough power to take out the Kage with a single blow.
Naruto and Sasuke needed to combine their power to match him in a fight. Alone, Sasuke Uchiha would, undoubtedly, lose to him.
5 CAN'T DEFEAT: Udon
Another former member of Team Ebisu, Udon is currently serving as a Jonin of Konohagakure. Being one of the elite ninjas of the village, it is easy to see that Udon is quite powerful. His jutsu, along with his intellect, makes him a dangerous opponent for anyone to fight.
However, Sasuke is in a league of his own and no matter how much Udon trains, catching up to Sasuke, or even grazing him in battle is impossible for him.
4 CAN DEFEAT: Kaguya Otsutsuki
Kaguya Otsutsuki is the progenitor of chakra in the world of Naruto and one of the strongest characters ever. She appeared as the final antagonist in the Fourth Great Ninja War arc and was defeated by the collective effort of Team 7 and Obito Uchiha.
Although Sasuke is much stronger than he was during the Ninja War, he still isn't comparable to Kaguya Otsutsuki in any way.
3 CAN'T DEFEAT: Hashirama Senju
Hashirama Senju was the First Hokage of Konohagakure and the man known as the God of Shinobi. He was renowned as the strongest of his era, even surpassing the likes of Madara Uchiha.
However, Hashirama was definitely weaker than Sasuke Uchiha in comparison. Sasuke, with the Six Paths powers, was able to match 10-Tails Jinchūriki Madara and even put up a fight against Kaguya Otsutsuki.
2 CAN DEFEAT: Hagoromo Otsutsuki
Hagoromo Otsutsuki, also known as the Sage of Six Paths, was the son of Kaguya. Born with her powerful chakra, Hagoromo was one of the strongest people in the world. He, along with his brother, was able to defeat Kaguya Otsutsuki in battle after fighting her for 3 months.
His powers were greater than that of Naruto and Sasuke combined, and it goes without saying that the Uchiha alone wouldn't stand a chance against him.
1 CAN'T DEFEAT: Itachi Uchiha
Itachi Uchiha was the brother of Sasuke and a prodigious shinobi from Konohagakure. Although Itachi was quite powerful, and at one point, far stronger than Sasuke, he was ultimately surpassed by his brother.
Sasuke managed to gain the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, and even the powers of the Rinnegan, effectively putting him out of the reach of Itachi.
