The Hidden Leaf has given birth to plenty of legendary ninjas, who tales of valor continue to inspire the future generations. One such legend was Hiruzen Sarutobi. Hiruzen Sarutobi was the Third Hokage of the Hidden Leaf. He became the Hokage after Tobirama sacrificed himself.
Hiruzen grew up to become of the strongest ninjas in history. He received the epithet of "God of Shinobi," which is the same as Hashirama Senju. Even at his old age, he was capable of fighting against Orochimaru and the reanimated First and Second Hokage.
10 NARUTO UZUMAKI
Naruto Uzumaki is a staple of any list that involves powerful characters. His contribution to the world of ninjas is unparalleled. Naruto gained numerous power-ups throughout the series.
At the end of the Fourth Great Ninja War, he had cemented his place as the strongest ninja in history. Naruto could be considered a God because of his insane power and there's no way that Hiruzen could possibly defeat him.
9 HASHIRAMA SENJU
Hashirama Senju laid the foundation of the Hidden Leaf with his friend, Madara Uchiha. Hashirama would go on to become the First Hokage of the Hidden Leaf. He was blessed with the Wood Release as well as the sage mode.
He could change the surrounding with his attacking and it is even presumed that Hashirama created the village with his Wood Release. Hashirama's overwhelming power would definitely make things difficult for Hiruzen and it would actually make for an extremely interesting fight.
8 MADARA UCHIHA
Madara Uchiha was the legendary leader of the Uchiha Clan. He had a very big role to play in Naruto. He was reanimated long after his death by Kabuto Yakushi. Madara wasted no time to break free from Kabuto's control and resurrect himself completely.
Madara soon took back his Rinnegan and became the jinchuriki of the Ten-Tails. Such was his power that he was called the "Second Sage of Six Paths." As the jinchuriki of the Ten-Tails, Madara could easily beat Hiruzen.
7 SASUKE UCHIHA
Sasuke is a genuinely interesting character. He started off with loving his brother, then he wanted to commit fratricide, then he wanted to commit mass murder, and finally, he wanted to become the Hokage and ensure that there was peace in the world.
Now, that is quite the journey, which molded Sasuke into an exquisite character.
6 OBITO UCHIHA
Obito Uchiha was a villain for the majority of the series. He committed several crimes all in the hope of being reunited with Rin under the influence of Infinite Tsukuyomi.
Obito was first to become the jinchuriki of the Ten-Tails during the Fourth Great Ninja War. He ruthlessly swept aside anyone who dared to stand in his path. Even Hashirama admitted that Obito's strength was far more superior to his own.
5 KAGUYA OTSUTSUKI
Kaguya is known by many names such as Rabbit Goddess, Kishimoto's Biggest Mistake, etcetera. Her introduction in the series made Madara the penultimate villain, which was frankly very disappointing. However, Kaguya's strength was greater than anything the ninja world had seen.
She was able to change dimensions instantly and she could also create truth-seeking balls(a feat that no one else could achieve). Hiruzen would be a complete fool if he tried to fight someone like her.
4 NAGATO UZUMAKI
Next up on the list is Nagato Uzumaki. He was orphaned at a very young age which led to him meeting Yahiko and Konan. The three orphans were trained by Jiraiya.
Jiraiya sensed that Nagato had a lot of potential, and he thought that he might be the "Child of Prophecy." Nagato grew up to become the leader of the Akatsuki. At full health, Nagato could easily take on two perfect tailed beast jinchuriki, which is by no means an easy task.
3 HAGOROMO OTSUTSUKI
Hagoromo Otsutsuki was the eldest son of Kaguya Otsutsuki. He was the first person to be born with chakra. Hagoromo rebelled against his mother and brought her rule to an end. He sealed her with the help of his brother.
Hagoromo sealed the Ten-Tails inside and became its jinchuriki. He could also use the Creation of All Things. Hagoromo's power was unparalleled and a genuine case could be made that he surpassed his mother as well.
2 ITACHI UCHIHA
Itachi Uchiha is one of the most well-known characters in the series. He was a true prodigy and destined for great things. Itachi was the best user of genjustu.
His Susanoo had the Totsuka Blade and the Yata Mirror, which him almost unbeatable. The Totsuka Blade could seal anything that it touched, while the Yata Mirror was the ultimate defense.
1 HAMURA OTSUTSUKI
Hamura Otsutsuki is the younger brother of Hagoromo Otsutsuki. He possessed the Tenseigan, which is the evolved form of Byakugan. He was just as important as Hagoromo in the fight versus Kaguya.
After defeating Kaguya, Hamura went to the moon in order to keep an eye on his mother.
