The cast of Naruto is truly impressive, spanning the full breadth of the shonen genre. Its star is Naruto Uzumaki himself, and the cast rapidly expanded to include Team 7, the rest of Konoha 11, the three Sannin, the Akatsuki's members, and far more. Naruto interacts with many of these characters, friend and foe alike, but the same isn't exactly true of Sasuke Uchiha.

Sasuke may be one of Naruto's most prominent characters of all, but oddly, he never came into contact with most other characters, and he never spoke a word to them or fought them. Sasuke is choosy about whom he keeps as company, so he never bothered to interact with most Naruto characters at all. Who are some notable Naruto characters Sasuke can't find any time for?

10 Might Guy Isn't On Sasuke's Radar

Might Guy smiles, winks, and makes the thumbs up sign

The taijutsu master Might Guy enjoys competition, such as with his old friend Kakashi Hatake, and he will gladly train anyone who has the passion of youth and an aptitude for taijutsu. Might Guy is often seen with Team Guy, of course, and he sometimes hangs out with the other Leaf jonin, too.

But Sasuke can't be bothered with him. Sasuke learned taijutsu elsewhere, and he relies more on advanced ninjutsu such as the Susano'o and fireball rather than kicks and punches. Sasuke wouldn't like Might Guy's personality, anyway.

9 Sasuke Has No Business With Lady Tsunade

Tsunade uses Creation Rebirth in Naruto

Lady Tsunade of the Sannin is legendary for many things, from her powerhouse punches to her advanced medical ninjutsu to her drinking habit and terrible luck with gambling. Naruto soon met her and helped convince her to accept the position of Hokage, but Sasuke wasn't involved in any of this.

On paper, Sasuke and Hokage Tsunade are enemies, given Sasuke's crime spree around the world, but the two of them never came to blows, nor did they exchange any words. Tsunade doesn't always fight her enemies in person anyway; she's perfectly happy to send Naruto and Kakashi to the battlefield on her behalf.

8 Sasuke Never Talked To Shikamaru In The Original Naruto Series

Shikamaru from Naruto entering a tent

There are many Hidden Leaf Village ninjas with whom Sasuke never interacted, since Sasuke abandoned the village early in his shinobi career. In fact, Sasuke often ignored the Konoha 11 ninjas even though they were his age, and that includes the brilliant Shikamaru Nara.

Shikamaru mostly hangs out with Team 10 and Asuma Sarutobi, though he's also friends with Naruto. But Shikamaru has no business with Sasuke, and vice versa, so these two boys simply avoid one another, whether or not they're on the same side.

7 Sasuke Never Deals With Hinata Hyuga

Hinata stands in the forest smiling

Hinata Hyuga was a shy and unassertive young kunoichi for a time, until Naruto inspired her during the chunin exams to finally prove herself. Hinata soon became good friends with Naruto, and got along with her cousin Neji, too. She even fought the Six Paths of Pain to protect Naruto, but she didn't fight Sasuke.

Hinata is definitely not on Sasuke's radar in Shippuden, and during the original story, Sasuke still had no business with Hinata at all. He wouldn't find her interesting, and Hinata would be rather intimidated. They wouldn't have been friends.

6 Jiraiya Has No Business With Sasuke

Jiraiya stands in his signature, Kabuki inspired, pose with a wacky look on his face

In an indirect and impersonal way, Jiraiya the toad sage interacted with Sasuke, rescuing him and Naruto from the wrath of Itachi and Kisame in that hotel, but that wasn't a true interaction of characters. After this scene, Jiraiya and Sasuke never crossed paths again.

Jiraiya is a Sannin, like Orochimaru, but Sasuke wouldn't be interested in learning from him. Sasuke had other teachers in mind, and during Shippuden, Jiraiya famously fought Pain, rather than Sasuke. It's fun to imagine how that fight would have gone, though.

5 Asuma Sarutobi Is Not Sasuke's Mentor

Asuma, during his fight with Hidan, scowls holding his weapon out before him

Asuma Sarutobi is the jonin mentor of Team 10, and he is immensely proud of what his three genin are capable of when they work together. Asuma also clashed with Itachi and Kisame before fighting Hidan in Shippuden, but he didn't ever fight Sasuke. It's just as well.

Asuma wouldn't last long against Sasuke in a real fight, and even when they were both loyal Leaf ninjas, they didn't speak with each other at all. Asuma certainly knew who Sasuke was, but there's no sign that Sasuke knew or cared about Asuma in return.

4 Sasuke Didn't Fight Temari In Canon

Temari returning to the Sand Village in Naruto.

In the main canon story of Naruto, Sasuke didn't have any business with Temari of the Sand, and vice versa. Sasuke did fight Temari's little brother Gaara during the chunin exams, but Temari trusted Gaara to handle himself and didn't try to help him against Sasuke to any meaningful extent.

Fans can only speculate on how a Sasuke/Temari duel would turn out, and by the Boruto era, Sasuke is no longer a villain, so he and Temari have no reason to come to blows. They never even spoke to each other.

3 Sasuke Won't Bother With Konohamaru

Shippuden konohamaru

Konohamaru is Hiruzen Sarutobi's grandson, and he became Naruto's friend and rival very early in the series. Konohamaru is always happy to spend time with his best rival, including learning the Sexy Jutsu from him, but he didn't spend any time with Sasuke. Nor would he want to.

Sasuke is intense and self-absorbed, and he wouldn't form a friendly rivalry with Konohamaru at all. Sasuke would tell him to get lost, and Konohamaru would take that personally. It's actually a good thing these characters never share a scene together.

2 Kurenai Yuhi And Sasuke Don't Ever Interact

Naruto's Kurenai Yuhi

Kurenai Yuhi is a jonin specializing in genjutsu, and while she fought Itachi Uchiha in a one-sided fight, she never fought the younger Uchiha brother, nor would she want to. Sasuke is adept at genjutsu too, and his taijutsu and ninjutsu outstrip Kurenai's own.

Kurenai never spoke to Sasuke, and she wouldn't find him very pleasant if she did. She certainly knows who he is and what his deal is, but she would rather leave it at that. Kurenai would find it tiring to have Sasuke on her team if that arrangement somehow happened.

1 Sasuke Wasn't In A Position To Interact With Kimimaro

kimimaro from kaguya clan

Given how Sasuke and Kimimaro were on Orochimaru's side at the same time for a while, it's conceivable that they had slight interactions off-screen, but that's conjecture. On-screen, Kimimaro and Sasuke didn't really interact, though Kimimaro did interact with Sasuke's container by carrying it around.

Sasuke emerged from the container and ran off while Kimimaro stayed behind to fight Naruto, Rock Lee and Gaara in that order. Sasuke did interact with the original Sound Four, but not so much Kimimaro. Still, a flashback scene in Shippuden made it clear that Kimimaro was aware of Sasuke's worthiness, at least. He knew that Sasuke was a worthy vessel for Orochimaru.
