Kinkaku and Ginkaku were two legendary ninjas from the Hidden Cloud village. They were distant relatives to the sage of Six Paths, Hagoromo Otsutsuki. This relation with Hagoromo enabled them to survive after eating the flesh of the Nine-Tails.
The two brothers made a lot of name for themselves and they were treated with immense respect within the village. They launched an attack on Tobirama Senju and wounded him badly. There are only a handful of characters in Naruto who were capable of beating the Gold and Silver Brothers.
10 Hashirama Senju
Hashirama Senju was the first Hokage of the Hidden Leaf. He was elected the Hokage ahead of his rival Madara. Hashirama was hailed as the God of shinobi for his powers.
He was able to use all five natures along with overpowered Wood Release. Hashirama's abilities were further boosted by his sage mode, which granted him plenty of chakra. He could have very easily have beaten both the brothers.
9 Naruto Uzumaki
After the Fourth Great Ninja War, Naruto cemented himself as the strongest ninja in history. Naruto is a perfect jinchuriki, which means he can use the power of the NIne-Tails without any problem.
Naruto also has the regular sage mode as well as the six paths sage mode. He was able to decimate Toneri Otsutsuki, who had the Tenseigan without much problem. Naruto's mere punch was able to damage the moon and the crazy thing is that he wasn't even using his full power.
8 Sasuke Uchiha
Also known as the Other Hokage of the Leaf, Sasuke is considered to be the only person who could rival Naruto's strength. Sasuke has a unique Rinnegan which grants him the power to use special space-time ninjutsu, with which he can move freely through dimensions.
Sasuke also has the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan that allows him to use the Susanoo. It wouldn't be a problem for Sasuke to get rid of the Gold and Silver Brothers.
7 Nagato Uzumaki
Nagato's life was filled with tragedies, but that did not stop him from achieving power. He had the Rinnegan implanted inside his eyes when he was just a kid. As he was Uzumaki, Nagato was able to withstand using both the Rinnegan, and it is a huge feat considering that not even Obito dared to use both the Rinnegan.
When Nagato was reanimated, he took on Naruto and Killer B who were both perfect jinchuriki. The two of them only survived due to Itachi's efforts, so Nagato at his full health could easily defeat both Kinkaku and Ginkaku.
6 Obito Uchiha
Obito Uchiha was a member of Team Minato. He had no real talent as a kid, but he matured into an excellent ninja without a doubt. Obito had only had Sharingan in only one eye, and in a way, he was nerfed as his Mangekyou Sharingan ability was overwhelming.
Obito was able to revive the Ten-Tails and become its jinchuriki which granted him unimaginable power. He almost took down the entire Shinobi Alliance, and it wouldn't be a problem for him to beat the two brothers.
5 Madara Uchiha
Madara Uchiha had envisioned a world that had peace and in order to achieve that peace, he needed to become the Ten-Tails jinchuriki and cast Infinite Tsukuyomi.
Madara managed to achieve his goal and he put the entire world under his spell. Madara never got the opportunity to try out his power entirely as he was betrayed by Zetsu. Madara could bring down meteors casually and it would have been sufficient to rid of Kinkaku and Ginkaku.
4 Might Guy
Might Guy was one of the Hidden Leaf's greatest assets. He was a taijutsu master. He learned about the Eight Inner Gates from his father. Guy was able to beat Kisame without putting too much effort into it.
He was also able to fight toe-to-toe against Madara Uchiha, and it is fair to say that Madara only survived due to his insane healing powers.
3 Kakashi Hatake
Kakashi was a prodigy and everyone in the village had high hopes for him. He grew up to become one of the finest ninjas in the Hidden Leaf.
However, he could not face the top tier characters as he did have his limitations. All of that changed when Kakashi received Six Paths chakra from Obito. Kakashi gained another Mangekyou Sharingan which allowed him to use the Susanoo. Kakashi's Susanoo was plain hax as it allowed him to seal away anything with its Kamui shuriken.
2 Might Dai
He was known as the "Eternal Genin," because he never rose above the position of mere genin, but that was in no way a reflection of his true abilities.
Dai had trained extensively and managed to master all the Eight Inner Gates. He taught it to his Might Guy as well. It is common knowledge that the eighth and final gate grants the user insane power, but it comes at the cost of the user's life.
1 Itachi Uchiha
The final character on the list is Itachi Uchiha. He was considered a generational talent and he showed signs of promise at a relatively young age.
Itachi's Susanoo made him invincible. It had two legendary weapons- Yata Mirror and Totsuka Blade. It would take Itachi only a few minutes to get rid of Kinkaku and Ginkaku as the Totsuka Blade would seal them away.
