Most Naruto characters are over the top. Being loud and aggressive is a common trait among the characters in this series, but even the more subdued characters push themselves to extremes. It may be helpful for a Shinobi to have an aggressive personality, but it's definitely not the type of person anyone would want to live with.

Fans may think that living with their favorite Naruto character would be an amazing experience but fans forget how self-centered and clueless the characters can be. Those quirky personalities may be fun at first, but when fans find that the characters have zero understanding of roommate etiquette, they'll run for the hills.

10 Naruto Is A Slob

Naruto Uzumaki gritting his teeth in fear.

Naruto may be loud and obnoxious but his personality doesn't necessarily make him a bad potential roommate. The fact that he doesn't know how to maintain a home is what actually makes him horrible to live with.

In the first few episodes, Naruto gets sick from drinking spoiled milk, which he doesn't even notice is spoiled until it's too late. It's likely any roommate of his would constantly have to deal with spoiled food being left around, which is pretty disgusting. For those who prefer to live in a clean home with fresh food, Naruto is not the roommate to have.

9 Sakura Is Too Aggressive

Sakura from Naruto.

Sakura is the most responsible member of her team but she's also the most argumentative. Fighting over simple things like chores will be a common occurrence for anyone unlucky enough to be her roommate.

Sakura is also obsessed with her appearance. She's the type to spend hours hogging the bathroom while she gets ready for the day, which will inevitably lead to more fighting. A more passive roommate may be able to get away with living with Sakura but it's also likely that Sakura will walk all over them.

8 Sasuke Is Full Of Himself

Sasuke looking angry with his curse mark showing in Naruto

Sasuke doesn't seem like the type to be a bad roommate. He's pretty responsible and he's not a dirty person like Naruto. However, Sasuke is incredibly self-centered, and has a short fuse. He isn't the type to get explosively angry like Sakura, but he can be passive-aggressive, which is just as bad in many cases.

Sasuke tends to think that most people are beneath him so he'll happily tell any roommate of his how stupid they are whenever they make a mistake. Anyone hoping to preserve their self-esteem and sanity should stay far away from Sasuke.

7 Jiraiya Is A Way Too Inappropriate

Jiraiya looks off to the side deep in thought in Naruto.

Jiraiya is the type of guy who's fun to have at parties, but he's also a massive pervert with no understanding of privacy. If his roommate happens to be a woman, Jiraiya would spy on them claiming that he needs to do so for research.

However, his lack of boundaries can extend to men as well. He even made a comment about Naruto's body while he trained him for the Chunin Exams. The only good thing about living with Jiraiya is he'd likely never be around with how often he travels but with all his negative attributes, living with him doesn't seem worth it.

6 Shikamaru Is Too Lazy

Shikamaru winking in Naruto.

Shikamaru may be a genius Shinobi but he's also an incredibly lazy person who likes to complain. Hearing about how much of a drag it is to do anything mildly inconvenient gets old pretty quick, especially since Shikamaru is smart enough to know what it means to be a good roommate.

He may begrudgingly do a few choirs if his roommate nags him enough, but it's likely he'll commit as little energy as possible to getting his choirs done. Unless his roommate is willing to babysit him it's probably not worth the aggravation.

5 Ino Is Bossy

It's hard to believe anyone could be bossier than Sakura, but Ino takes her aggression to a different level. Shikamaru and Choji typically have to follow her whims and if someone gets her mad she'll let them know.

Ino gets so mad at Sakura during the Chunin Exams she cuts her hair, so one can only imagine what she might do when fighting with a roommate. If her aggressive tendencies aren't bad enough Ino has a bad habit of turning anything into a competition, especially when it comes to Sakura. Having to listen to Ino complain about her competition with Sakura is likely to get really old.

4 Akamaru Is Too Big

Kiba and Akamaru in Naruto.

Living with Kiba and his ninja hound sounds great on paper but is actually horrible in practice. Anyone who owns a dog knows how messy they can be and Kiba doesn't seem like the type to clean up after himself.

He may have a strong nose, but with Akamaru's tendency to mark everything around him there is a good chance living with Kiba and Akamaru means dealing with the constant smell of urine. Not to mention, Akamaru doesn't stay puppy-sized forever. By the time Shippuden starts, Akamaru is nearly horse-sized, which can't be easy to live with.

3 Rock Lee Has Too Much Energy

Rock Lee from Naruto

Lee is the perfect workout buddy who knows how to push his friends past their limits. While it's great for someone to have a cheerleader when they're trying to reach a new goal, it can get pretty old when the cheerleading never stops.

Lee loves training every waking moment, and he's likely to drag anyone who lives with him into his mess. Lee also has a tendency to set impossible goals for himself like performing ten thousand punches or reaching the sand village in half a day. Any normal person wouldn't last a day living with the energetic Lee, especially if Might Guy is there to add fuel to the fire.

2 Tsunade Isn't Responsible

Tsunade determined to face Madara during the Fourth Ninja War in Naruto.

Tsunade is great to have around when someone needs to move some heavy furniture, but she's definitely not the person anyone should want to live with. Like Jiraiya, she has a fondness for drinking, but her gambling habit is what really gets her in trouble.

As the legendary sucker, it's actually bad luck for her to win at gambling. With all her debts it's likely any roommate of hers would find themselves caught up in her gambling or trying to prevent Tsunade from spending the money needed to pay the bills. Tsunade may be a smart woman, but she makes a lot of poor decisions that will certainly backfire on anyone living with her.

1 Choji Eats Too Much

Anyone living on a tight budget should never live with Choji. Not only is he a real foodie, he needs food to fuel his jutsu, which means he's constantly eating.

If his roommate doesn't allocate a huge budget to food it's likely Choji will eat them out of house and home. Then again, his roommate could always hide the food they don't want him to eat, but that's unlikely to protect their food from him for long.
