Renowned as Konoha's Noble Green Beast, Might Guy is the Jonin leader of Team Guy and one of the strongest characters in the Naruto series. Although his skills with ninjutsu and genjutsu aren't great, taijutsu is where he excels.
During the Fourth Great Ninja War, Guy showed the fans what he was truly capable of when he unleashed the power of the Eight Inner Gates. With this technique, he gained strength that was hundreds of times greater than that of the Five Kage. At his strongest, only a few characters can defeat him, and here are 5 who are capable of doing that and 5 who wouldn't stand a chance.
10 Would Crush: Jiraiya
Also known as the Toad Sage, Jiraiya was a member of the Legendary Sannin and a shinobi worthy of being a Kage. His skill with the ninja arts was great and fairly balanced in all categories.
In his Sage Mode, Jiraiya was powerful enough to go head-to-head against Pain, one of the strongest in the series. Although he was powerful, he ended up losing to him, and when faced by Eight Gates Guy, the result would be no different.
9 Would Crush Him: Madara Uchiha
Madara Uchiha was one of the biggest antagonists in the Naruto series who played a major role in the Fourth Great Ninja War. After becoming the 10-Tails Jinchūriki, Madara became powerful enough to crush any shinobi who stood in his way.
Guy, despite going Eight Gates, needed help to get around his defenses, and even after using everything he had, he failed to kill him. Had it not been for Naruto, Guy would've died right there.
8 Would Crush: Orochimaru
Another one of the Sannin, Orochimaru was just as powerful as Jiraiya, although quite more skilled in terms of Jutsu. With some of the most incredible Forbidden Jutsu under his belt, Orochimaru was a menace even for a Kage to fight.
However, there was a limit to his strength, and Guy, with all Eight Gates released, surpassed that by quite a mile. In a fight, Orochimaru would barely last against him.
7 Would Crush Him: Naruto Uzumaki
Naruto Uzumaki reached a completely new power level during the Fourth Great Ninja War after gaining the powers of the Six Paths. In his base form, he was strong enough to fight and overwhelm the same Madara that almost killed Guy.
With his Six Paths Sage Mode, Naruto was levels above Guy in terms of power and could easily take on Madara, and even Kaguya in battle.
6 Would Crush: Tsunade
The granddaughter of the First Hokage and the Fifth Hokage of Konoha, Tsunade Senju is also a member of the Legendary Sannin, just like Orochimaru and Jiraiya. Being one of them, her strength is comparable to them, but unlike the others, she excels in Taijutsu and Medical Ninjutsu.
Unfortunately for her, Guy's very own Taijutsu surpasses hers quite easily, which means she wouldn't fare too well against him in combat.
5 Would Crush Him: Sasuke Uchiha
After nearly dying at the hands of Madara Uchiha, Sasuke was gifted with the powers of the Six Paths by Hagoromo Otsutsuki, just like Naruto. Thanks to that, he managed to awaken the Rinnegan in his left eye, giving him a tremendous boost in terms of power.
Like Naruto, Sasuke became powerful enough to fight Madara Uchiha in his Six Paths form without much trouble, which just goes to show that he was stronger than Guy and would Crush him in battle.
4 Would Crush: Obito Uchiha
Obito was one of the main perpetrators of the Fourth Great Ninja War, during which he became the Ten-tails Jinchūriki as well. In this state, he gained enough power to fight the entire shinobi alliance by himself, which is a testament to his incredible powers.
Although he was quite powerful, Obito's strength paled in comparison to Madara Uchiha's. With his Eighth Gate, Guy could possibly have crushed him at the cost of his own life.
3 Would Crush Him: Kakashi Hatake (DMS)
As a shinobi, Kakashi Hatake peaked during the Fourth Great Ninja War when he received Obito's Mangekyo Sharingan and Six Paths powers. With the power of Kamui and strength great enough to harm even Kaguya Otsutsuki, Kakashi became nearly unmatched.
Although Guy was pretty powerful in his Eighth Gate, Kakashi's intangibility due to Kamui meant that there was absolutely nothing he could do to defeat him.
2 Would Crush: Hashirama Senju
Known as the God of Shinobi, Hashirama was Konoha's very founder and the First Hokage as well. He had the special powers of the Wood Release ninjutsu, along with an incredible healing factor using which he rose to the top of his era.
It goes without saying that Hashirama Senju is one of the best ninjas in the history of the Naruto series, however, Might Guy is levels above him.
1 Would Crush Him: Kaguya Otsutsuki
Known to be the strongest character in the entire series, Kaguya Otsutsuki was the final villain of the story and was finally defeated by the combined effort of Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, and Kakashi Hatake.
Kaguya's powers were explicitly stated to be much greater than that of Madara Uchiha. Guy, even in his Eighth Gate state, wasn't able to defeat Madara, which proves that he was no match for Kaguya Otsutsuki either.
