Over the years, both Guy and Kakashi have grown to be incredibly powerful characters, although they're still competing with each other over who is better between them. Here are 5 reasons why Might Guy is better than Kakashi, and 5 Why Kakashi is better than him.

10 Might Guy: Hardwork

When it comes to hard work, there no competition between Kakashi Hatake and him. Ever since he was a kid, Guy has been training his body relentlessly despite running into brick walls at nearly every step. Not losing is confidence, Guy pressed forward and twisted his fate with his own hands.

By the end of the series, Might Guy had truly become one of the strongest shinobi in the entire series, and all that is down to his hard work. Later on, Guy passed on everything that he had learned to his student, Rock Lee, who goes on carrying his legacy for him.

9 Kakashi: Talented

While Guy is likely the most hardworking shinobi in Konoha's history, Kakashi is the exact opposite of him. Kakashi was born with immense talent and by the age of 6, had already become a Chunin. He set records that stand untouched even today.

At the age of 13, Kakashi Hatake was promoted to the rank of a Jonin, making him the youngest known person to rise to this rank. Kakashi's progress didn't stop there as his talent, along with what he achieved over the years made him into the Sixth Hokage of Konohagakure, a title that he fully deserves.

8 Might Guy: Taijutsu Expert

Despite being a ninja, Might Guy's skills with Ninjutsu are quite limited. He can't perform any Jutsu other than the Summoning one. Realizing his shortcomings, Guy trained with what he had instead of whining about not being able to learn Ninjutsu.

Consequently, by the end of the series, Guy had become one of the most powerful Taijutsu users in the entire Naruto series. In fact, his level of skill was such that even Madara Uchiha couldn't help but praise him by saying nobody comes even close to him when it comes to Taijutsu.

7 Kakashi: Great Teacher

There's no denying the fact that Kakashi Hatake was a prodigy once. However, his skills aren't limited to fighting alone. Kakashi is also one of the most incredible teachers in the entire Naruto series, as seen when he trains both Naruto, and Sasuke on different occasions.

What's more, Kakashi's ideas lead to Naruto undergoing years of training within a matter of days, making him a teacher that very few can better. Guy, while a great teacher, isn't half as impressive as Kakashi is.

6 Guy: Isn't Dependent On Chakra

Might Guy's Full Strength

Might Guy's Taijutsu proficiency sees to it that he isn't overly reliant on chakra. As a ninja, Guy is capable of using extremely high-level hand-to-hand combat moves, such as the Asakujaku and the Hirudora which blow most of the enemies away.

In Guy's fight against Kisame, the latter was fooled into thinking that his moves were purely chakra based and therefore absorbable. To his surprise, Guy's moves weren't based on chakra at all, which gives him the edge against some do the extremely difficult opponents, such as the Otsutsuki clan members.

5 Kakashi: Complete Ninja

Unlike Might Guy, Kakashi is a ninja you can describe as 'complete'. There's absolutely nothing that he lacks. When it comes to Ninjutsu, he's arguably the best around. His skills in Genjutsu are comparable to the likes of the Uchiha clan members, while his Taijutsu skills aren't something to take lightly either.

Taking all things into perspective, Kakashi is unarguably one of the most complete shinobi in the entire Naruto series. Might Guy, on the other hand, lacks the ability to perform a Genjutsu for use strong Ninjutsu.

4 Might Guy: Eight Inner Gates

Passed on to Guy by his father, Might Dai, the Eight Inner Gates technique allows one to open the chakra points in their body and un-regulate the flow of chakra throughout their body. Over the years, Guy has mastered this technique to its absolute pinnacle.

Using the Eighth Gate, Guy is capable of mustering strength that is more than that of all the Five Kage combined. While it does lead to the inevitable death of a ninja, at the same time, it makes a person, such as Guy, incredibly hard to fight.

3 Kakashi: Sharingan

Kakashi Hatake received his Sharingan as a gift for becoming a Jonin during the battle of the Kannabi Bridge in the Third Great Ninja War. He went on to master its powers to an incredibly high level over the years and earned the moniker of 'Copy Ninja'.

His skills with the Sharingan was such that Itachi praised him as one of the best users of the eye, despite not even being an Uchiha. Furthermore, Kakashi Hatake went on to evolve his eye into a Mangekyo Sharingan which granted him tremendous powers.

2 Guy: Extremely Fast

Being a ninja with peak physicality, it's no surprise that Might Guy is just as fast as he is strong. Years of training with weights has made Guy into one of the fastest known shinobi to date. When using the Eight Inner Gates technique, Might Guy's speed is further amplified by several times, making him an even bigger threat than he appears to be.

During his fight against Madara Uchiha, Guy was able to bend the space around him just by running, which implies that he was approaching lightspeed in the process. Madara Uchiha, whose senses were enhanced with the Six Paths Senjustu, couldn't keep up with Guy's speed and nearly died when the two clashed.

1 Kakashi: Hokage

For a ninja, it is an honor to serve as the Hokage of the village. Presumably, every ninja wants to become the Kage of their village. In Kakashi's case, he is actually able to become one, while Guy supported him from his side. After the events of the Fourth Great Ninja War, Kakashi Hatake rose to the rank of the Hokage, replacing Tsunade Senju in the process.

Kakashi's reign over Konohagakure is seen as long and peaceful, making him one of the most successful ninjas in the history of the village, if not the most successful.
