Naomi Watts, Tom Sizemore and David Lynch to Co-Star in 'Twin Peaks' Revival

News broke today that actors Naomi Watts and Tom Sizemore have signed up for recurring roles on Showtime's upcoming "Twin Peaks" revival series. Co-creator David Lynch may also be reprising his role from the original series as FBI Regional Bureau Chief Gordon Cole.

According to Deadline, Watts, Sizemore, and Lynch are the newest cast members to join the revival. Watts previously worked with David Lynch on "Mulholland Drive," which launched her career in America. Laura Dern, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Amanda Seyfried have also been cast in the series, along with original lead actor Kyle MacLachlan.

"Twin Peaks" originally aired from 1990-1991, and centered around the mysterious death of Homecoming Queen Laura Palmer. Palmer's death threw the small town of Twin Peaks into upheaval, and many of the town's dark secrets were uncovered during the investigation. The Showtime revival of "Twin Peaks" is written and directed by David Lynch and is set to air sometime in 2017. The first teaser for the new series premiered in December, which can be seen below.
