A new season of the revival of Mystery Science Theater 3000 will come to Netflix on the most appropriate day possible: Nov. 22, Thanksgiving, which has become the traditional date for MST3K marathons, premieres and announcements.

Creator Joel Hodgson spoke about the show's connection to Thanksgiving with The AV Club, explaining, "Thirty years ago on Thanksgiving Day 1988 is when we premiered Mystery Science Theater 3000 in the Minneapolis market...We were competing with 60 Minutes for the same time slot, and I think history has shown which is the better show.”
