'Mystery Science Theater 3000' Hits Kickstarter Goal, Announces New Host

"Mystery Science Theater 3000" hit a milestone goal today as its Kickstarter fundraiser crossed the $2 million dollar mark. At publication, 18,966 people have donated to the cause, bringing the current total raised to $2,062,296. Hitting this goal guarantees the production of at least three new episode of the cult-favorite show, which ran from 1988 to 1999.

Series creator Joel Hodgson also announced on Facebook today that their new host will be Jonah Ray, from "The Nerdist Podcast."
