Disney+ released the official trailer for The Mysterious Benedict Society.

Based on the novels of the same name by Trenton Lee Stewart, The Mysterious Benedict Society stars Tony Hale as the mysterious Mr. Benedict, who enlists gifted orphans Reynie, Sticky, Kate and Constance to infiltrate the L.I.V.E. Institute in order to prevent a global catastrophe known as "The Emergency." However, the head of the L.I.V.E. is the erudite Dr. Curtain, who happens to be Mr. Benedict's twin brother (and is also portrayed by Hale).

Originally developed for Hulu, The Mysterious Benedict Society was moved to Disney+ in November 2020. The series is developed by Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay, with Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer (Smallville, Shadowhunters) serving as showrunners. The Mysterious Benedict Society is not the only young adult adaptation planned for Disney+. A new Percy Jackson television series is in the works at the streamer, with author Rick Riordan having a major involvement in the proceedings.

The Mysterious Benedict Society stars Tony Hale, Kristen Schaal, Ryan Hurst, MaameYaa Boafo, Gia Sandhu, Seth Carr, Emmy DeOliveira, Mystic Inscho and Marta Timofeeva. The series premieres June 26 on Disney+.
