MySpace Previews First 10 Pages of "Countdown" #51

MySpace Comic Books published this morning an exclusive preview of the first half of "Countdown" #51, the first issue of DC Comics' new weekly series. Featuring a script by Paul Dini and art by Jesus Saiz & Jimmy Palmiotti, the full color and fully lettered preview is the first fans have seen of the highly anticipated title that follows the events of "Infinite Crisis" and "52." With the undisputed success of DC's last weekly series, "52," all eyes are on "Countdown" and expectations are high. "Batman: The Animated Series" writer Paul Dini, whose work on "Detective Comics" has been earning more and more buzz, serves as head writer, supervising a team of newly DC-exclusive writers including Tony Bedard ("Negation," "Supergirl and the Legion of Super-Heroes") and Adam Beechen ("Robin" "Teen Titans"). Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray, both DC-exclusives, also serve on the "Countdown" writing staff.

The first issue of "Countdown," #51, drops in comic stores next Wednesday, May 9th. The following Friday, May 10th, MySpace Comic Books will present another exclusive "Countdown" preview of the first half of issue #50.
