MySpace Comic Books has been updated (as it is every week) with a new set of features and exclusives. This week sees an exclusive video interview with "Buffy" creator and "Astonishing X-Men" writer Joss Whedon, who answers questions submitted by fans. Whedon discusses in the clip not just his comics and film work, but also his auctioning of a dinner with him during San Diego Comic-Con International. Five fans will get the chance to dine with the venerable author, with proceeds benefitting the Equality Now organization. Whedon also updates fans on the future of "Fray" as well as lists his current favorite comics, which include "The Walking Dead," "Fun Home," and "pretty much anything with the name 'Warren Ellis' on it."
Also featured this week on MySpace Comic Books is a look at Image Comics' second volume of the lauded "24Seven" robots-themed anthology. The entire Fábio Moon chapter is available to read exclusively MySpace Comic Books.
Finally, renowned comics journalist George Khoury blogs on MySpace Comic Books about his new book, "Image Comics: The Road to Independence," a comprehensive study of the history of one of the most important publisher's in comics. Featured exclusively in the blog is a lengthy excerpt from Khoury's interview with "Wetworks" creator Whilce Portacio, taken from his book.
