10 Noblesse: Awakening

Noblesse: Awakening (2016) is the anime adaptation of a South Korean manhwa that was released for free on WEBTOON. Rather than being referred to as vampires, there are the Nobles and the Noblesse who protects them. Cadis Etrama Di Raizel, after sleeping for 820 years, returns as the Noblesse and lives as a high school student. When his human friends begin getting attacked by the supernatural, Raizel is forced into action.

The one episode OVA received an overall rating of 7.59, as scored by 32,657 users. The first season of Noblesse (2020) just aired at the beginning of this month.

9 Demi-chan Wa Kataritai (Interviews With Monster Girls)

Taking a much more light-hearted approach to vampires, Interviews with Monster Girls (2017) is a comedy series featuring a variety of half-human, half-monster beings known "Demi." High school biology teacher Tetsuo Takahashi has a fascination with the "Demi" as they try to integrate into human society. He interviews his "Demi" students and a fellow teacher in an attempt to better understand their abilities, psyche, and interactions with humans, forming bonds with the girls.

The series received an overall score of 7.65, as scored by 152,272 users. It was only one season, 13 episodes long, and was nominated for Best Slice of Life in the 2017 Crunchyroll Anime Awards.

8 Owari no Seraph: Nagoya Kessen-hen (Seraph of the End: Battle in Nagoya)

Seraph of the End: Battle in Nagoya (2016) is the second cour of this military vs. vampire action show. Yuuichirou Hyakuya, a member of the Moon Demon Company famous for exterminating vampires, finds himself reunited with his childhood friend Mikaela Hyakuya. Mikaela is now a vampire and Yuuichirou is dedicated to becoming stronger so he can protect both his vampiric friend and his comrades in the company.

The titular Nagoya is where a large group of vampires plan to meet and Yuuchirou's crew has been assigned to kill them. This 12 episode season has an overall score of 7.66, as scored by 279,753 users.

7 Blood+

In Blood+ (2005-2006), Saya Otonashi seems like an ordinary high school student, except for the fact that she can't remember her life past one year ago. But her past comes back to haunt her after she's attacked by a blood-sucking creature and finds herself dragged into a deadly conflict. Working alongside Haji, whose blood awakens powers hidden within Saya, the two continue to fight the monsters of the night and learn more about Saya's past.

The original Shiki (2010) series kicks off with the murder of a girl in the village of Sotoba. Two boys, Toshio and Natsuno, must band together to stop the town from becoming overridden by vampires. The Shiki Specials (2011) are two 23 minute unaired episodes.

Specifically, one episode shipped with the eighth volume/episode 21 and was called "Dai Futatō to Han wa" (a wordplay for "Episode 20.5") while the other episode shipped with the ninth volume/episode 22 and was titled "Dai Futatō-ichi to Han wa" ("Episode 21.5"). What's left behind are monsters, magic, and madness in what is now called Hellsalem's Lot, the location of protagonist Leonardo Watch.

Leonardo obtained the "All-seeing Eyes of the Gods" in exchange for his sister's eyesight, which he uses as a member of Libra, a secret organization filled with people using supernatural abilities to bring order to Hellsalem's Lot. Now, Leo is looking for answers behind his powers as well as trying to help his sister. This anime scores a rating of 7.91 as scored by 116,706 users.

3 JoJo No Kimyou Na Bouken (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure)

In JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (2012-2013), George Joestar and his son Jonathan "JoJo" Joestar take in a fatherless Dio, who plans to take the Joestar house for his own with the help of an Aztec stone mask with supernatural abilities. The event of the past will continue to haunt the Joestar family for decades as we see Jonathan's grandson Joseph Joestar discover half a century later.

This is an anime adaptation of the first two parts of the series, Phantom Blood and Sentou Chuuryuu (Battle Tendency). It received a weighted score of 8.14 overall after being scored by 488,981 users.

2 Hellsing Ultimate

Hellsing: Ultimate (2006-2012) went into production after the original anime finished with the intention of being a truer adaptation of the manga. The goal of the Hellsing organization is to rid the world of supernatural threats. Led by Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing, her ultimate weapon in the fight against the undead is one of their own, the vampire Alucard. Alongside his newly turned vampire Seras Victoria, Alucard fights anyone who opposes Hellsing.

Despite this collection of ten 50 minute long OVAs going through multiple animation studios, it finally reached its conclusion in 2012. The series is fondly remembered by reviewers, receiving an 8.42 overall score based on the scores of 317,379 users.

This season sees Araragi wakes up in a deserted void. Alongside his girlfriend Hitagi Senjougahara, the two explore his past and the present to discover a deeply covered up truth that may have been better off buried.
