After months of pushbacks, the Dave Bautista action-comedy My Spy will be released on Amazon Prime Video rather than in U.S. theaters.

According to Deadline, Amazon Studios has picked up the film for distribution in the U.S. and key foreign territories for its streaming service. No release date for the film has been given yet.

A year after its first trailer was released, the film has faced one pushback after another causing the film to be delayed on several occasions. The film was initially pulled from its August 23 release date last year as STX wanted time between it and Bautista's buddy comedy Stuber. After being pushed back to 2020, the film was scheduled for release on January 10 before being bumped to March 13.

Before theaters worldwide decided to close due to the coronavirus pandemic, My Spy played in Canada, Australia, Mexico, U.K., Croatia, Germany, Netherlands, Hong Kong and New Zealand for some time, grossing $4.4 million at the box office.

The film was most recently moved from March 13 to April 17 in the U.S. before being pulled from STX's release schedule.
