My Next Life As A Villainess might be one of the most perfect "harem" series simply because it has all the classic tropes while simultaneously making fun of them. And, of course, it's an Isekai story where the world she was transported to was none other than the one of the Dating/Otome Games she loved in her past life. There's a lot you need to know about this series before hopping in, but just know that Katarina is very different after her bump to the head. The new and improved Katarina has a lot to offer to the viewers both extroverts and introverts alike. And, we figured we'd give it a shot at pointing out the most relatable moments for both sides.

10 Introvert: Zoning-Out/Thinking During Important Conversations

Right away Katarina struts her introvert skills by actively ignoring the words of a literal prince in front of her while she's caught up in her own thoughts. And, granted she's reincarnated into a new life and needs time to adjust, but she could've waited at least a few seconds before zoning out. But, introverts have a habit of zoning out whenever things get a bit too personal or outwardly social around them in favor of thinking about what they could be doing at home instead.

9 Extrovert: Showing Up On At A Friends Place Unannounced

Hopping right from episode one to five let's talk about Katarina's habit of showing up unannounced to places. In this episode, she shows up in Mary's hometown and even her own home completely unannounced, all because she wants to hang out with her friend. We get it, Katarina is sweet, a social butterfly, and wouldn't even consider the idea that people like alone time on their days off, but this is still a bit much. Then again, we all have that one close friend that could just show up on our doorstep at any time of the day and we'd let them in to hang out.

8 Introvert: Preparing For Old Age When You Can Laze Around

This is something we think about daily and we're sure other introverts think about it too. Even though the world is "on fire" at the moment, people still can't stop themselves from hanging out in public. But, when you're old, no one expects you to hit the town every weekend!

So, following that logic, a lot of introverts tend to get excited at the idea of being old and able to stay inside all day without being judged. Especially if social security and savings come through because we can just sit inside all day and work on our hobbies! Katarina seems to feel that way too, considering she wants to make her second life a full one and get old enough to sit around all day, which is why she starts working to stop her own doom flags from coming to fruition.

7 Extrovert: Having People Fall In Love With You Unintentionally

This is sort of the whole "joke" of the show, but while working towards stopping her different bad endings in the game, Katarina essentially steals all the love interests. All of these characters in the show were either supposed to love other people or fall in love with the main character Mary. But, Katarina is changing the timeline and making friends with all of them early, and most of them think of her as more than a friend. Unfortunately, Katarina is quite focused and also very dense, so she rarely notices these attempts at romance, even from her fiance! The series plays off this a lot and we find that the moments of Maria suddenly getting angry/serious about competing for Katarina's love are both the most relatable and the scariest.

6 Introvert: Running Out Of Books To Read Or Games To Play

Especially nowadays, a lot of us are running out of our favorite forms of media to devour. People are running out of games they want to play, books to read, podcasts to listen to, or bread to bake. And, Katarina ends up feeling the same way in this new world considering she was spoiled in Japan previously. In her past life Katarina was an avid reader and gamer, two types of media that aren't exactly overflowing in a medieval-inspired world.

So, even as a child, Katarina burns through all the interesting books in her home quite quickly and gets pretty bummed about it, which needless to say we relate to quite thoroughly.

5 Extrovert: Being So Caught Up In Thinking About Making A Friend You Get Ahead Of Yourself

You ever just start zoning out in a conversation, think about something else entirely, then say something related to what you were thinking about out loud as if the person in front of you has any idea what you were thinking of? This specifically applies to people who are airheads, but it can happen to both extroverts and introverts equally. Katarina does this a number of times throughout the currently aired episodes, and it's a bit more extrovert-centric considering she gets so lost in thinking about hanging out with Sophia that she forgets to even invite her to hang out for a second there.

4 Introvert: Hanging With The Pet Or The Food Table At A Party

This is one of the most classic "introvert" tropes in media whether its cartoons, film, books, comics, or anime. Essentially, it always revolves around a person who doesn't party often being invited to one, then standing by the snack table or petting the dog for the remainder of the party. Introverts like one on one interactions best or even interactions where the other party is an animal. So of course when Katarina walks into a tea party in episode two and ditches everyone to eat snacks and talk to Maria, we couldn't help but find it hilarious. Frankly, this series is pretty funny for something "based" on a dating game, but maybe thats not surprising considering how many absurd dating games are out there nowadays.

3 Extrovert: Not Being Nervous About Scars Or Outward Appearance

So, it's only covered briefly at the very beginning of the show, but facial scars were a real mark against women in the middle ages and in this fictional game.

This is why Prince Gerald feels so bad for Katarina after her fall and offers to save her the trouble by marrying her. But, little does he know, the new brain in Katarina's head couldn't care less about what other people think of her outward appearance or demeanor, a trait that we feel comes to extroverts just a tad easier. That's not to say that Extroverts aren't self-conscious about their appearance, but they either tend to push through that inhibition or hide what they're nervous about slightly rather than completely.

2 Introvert: Trying To Solve An Awkard Silence

Oh man, the number of times we've been talking to someone and thought it was going well only to have an awkward silence bubble up from nowhere. Then, as if by magic, we'd be stuck standing there thinking of how to break the awkward silence while simultaneously making it worse by not talking at all. This is a situation that is common for introverts and one Katarina finds herself in immediately the first few times she's left alone with Nicol. It's not like the guy feels awkward, he just seems like the type that would be comfortable with silence, but Katarina absolutely isn't.

1 Extrovert: Accidentally Making Friends With People

And finally, let's talk about how quickly Katarina makes friends. We get that she knows these characters ahead of time, but still. This plucky girl goes from meeting Maria in a garden to invading her personal space within a minute then inviting her over to her house within 2. But, to common extroverts, this sort of invitation comes naturally, so we're sure they saw nothing odd with this situation or even with the Prince Alan scenario where what was first an enemy soon became a close friend. Though, that isn't exactly a rare occurrence in classic otome games or anime.
