For this year's Comic-Con International in San Diego, Hasbro will celebrate My Little Pony's history with a figure set that shows Twilight Sparkle's evolution over the years.
The "My Little Pony Through the Years Twilight Sparkle" set contains two figures: a 1980s-inspired Twilight and a 2019 Twilight Sparkle. Collected together, both figures stand at 3 inches tall and retail for $19.99. It will be available at Comic-Con International and, when the convention ends, on Hasbro Pulse.
Modeled after her original character design, the Twilight figure boasts "a shimmering, pearlized treatment and 80s-inspired styling." Twilight Sparkle, on the other hand, steps straight out of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, the most recent cartoon series. This figure "has rooted hair with bangs and a metallic cutie mark."
In addition to the era-appropriate Twilight figure, the figure set will be packaged in a deluxe, retro-themed case that also serves as a display. Photos of the figures as well as the packaging appear below.
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic airs Saturdays at 11:30 am ET/PT on Discovery Family. Comic-Con International in San Diego runs Thursday, July 18 through Sunday, July 21.
