My Hero Academia is a smash-hit shonen action series featuring an ensemble cast of colorful and engaging characters of all sorts, including caped Pro Heroes who save the day time and again against the forces of evil. That includes the seemingly invincible All Might, the symbol of peace and the 8th wielder of One For All.

Everyone loves All Might, and for good reason, but not even he is perfect. The symbol of peace still has weaknesses, flaws, and past failures to contend with and they are all the worst aspects of this character. Some of All Might's worst aspects are minor or aren't specifically his fault, but all the same, they are definitely the worst parts of the character All Might.

10 All Might Is Difficult For Kohei Horikoshi To Draw

Drawing manga is never easy, and manga artists such as Tite Kubo, Sui Ishida, and Kohei Horikoshi push themselves hard to draw excellent manga for fans around the globe to enjoy. Still, some manga characters are definitely tougher to draw than others and this can be a headache for the artist who created them.

In particular, All Might is a real hassle for artist Kohei Horikoshi to draw, since All Might's body has a lot of details, especially his shaded face, which takes a lot of work to depict correctly. On a similar note, Horikoshi also admits having difficulty drawing the villain Himiko Toga.

9 All Might Didn't Finish Off All For One In The Past

All For One smiles evilly

All Might's greatest nemesis, the terrifying All For One, tried to take over all of Japan years ago, only for All Might to fight him in a climactic duel and score a narrow victory. It's good that All Might won, but in the end, All Might only bought Japan some time.

All Might failed to finish the job, meaning the injured and scarred All For One survived to slowly recuperate in the shadows and plot his return. All Might still deserves credit for his victory, but it's a shame he couldn't have made it more permanent.

8 All Might's Second Victory Wasn't Permanent, Either

All Might had to face his greatest nemesis once again in My Hero Academia Season 3, when the Pro Heroes stormed the League of Villains' hideout to rescue the captured Katsuki Bakugo. Once again, All Might and All For One duked it out and All Might managed to win once again.

However, this was simply history repeating itself, since All Might failed once again to vanquish his #1 enemy, as recent manga chapters proved.

7 All Might Is Losing Power Fast

One of the first biggest plot twists in My Hero Academia was when protagonist Izuku Midoriya actually got a chance to meet his idol, only to learn the grim truth. All Might bears a huge scar from his previous fight against All For One and this is a wound that not even Recovery Girl can heal.

All Might's strength is rapidly draining away and he is living on borrowed time as a Pro Hero. He can use his muscle form less and less per day, and soon, he stopped being able to use it in combat at all. Now he needs an heir, more than ever.

6 All Might Is Actually A Bad Coach

All Might certainly set Izuku on the path to becoming a Pro Hero and Izuku owes him for serving as his first major anime mentor. That said, All Might isn't used to training rookie heroes and it showed. When he helped Izuku train to acquire One For All, the symbol of peace had to make it up as he went.

All Might helped Izuku put on some muscle and handed him One For All, but after that, there wasn't much else All Might could do, even as an official U.A. teacher. It fell to Eraserhead, Gran Torino, and even Sir Nighteye to show Izuku how it's done.

5 All Might Can't Help Izuku Through One For All

One For All in My Hero Academia

The fact that All Might can't help Izuku through One For All isn't All Might's fault by any means, though it still counts against him. As later My Hero Academia anime episodes and manga chapters showed, seven of One For All's previous wielders could speak to Izuku and even lend him their natural quirks, from Nana Shimura to Yoichi Shigaraki.

Izuku urgently needs these seven people to aid him in the final battle against villainy, but All Might is absent. Since he has no natural quirk factor, there was no way for All Might to imprint his consciousness into One For All, nor did he have a bonus quirk to lend to Izuku.

4 All Might Causes Serious Collateral Damage

Some Pro Heroes cause minimal collateral damage during a mission, such as Eraserhead or the R-rated hero Midnight, while other heroes routinely demolish everything around them while battling villains, and that includes most wielders of One For All, such as All Might.

All Might can easily punch a villain into oblivion, but he'll put huge craters in the street, blow parked cars away, or even ruin entire floors of nearby buildings to get the job done.

3 All Might Is Easy To Counter

Any villain who tries to fight All Might on his own terms is sure to lose, but villains don't always rely on brute strength to win the day. They are devious and crafty characters who will use any dirty tactics they can to get the edge and not even All Might is immune to this. In fact, he's the easiest hero to counter.

All Might is easy for villains to counter because while powerful, he is also predictable, reliant on his strength, and easily manipulated with hostage situations and the like. His fighting style is well-known, so villains such as Dr. Garaki and Wolfram can easily think up countermeasures to take All Might out of the equation.

2 All Might Can't Easily Use Gadgets In Battle

Many Pro Heroes make good use of gadgets and accessories to boost their combat effectiveness or minimize the downsides of their quirks, such as Bakugo's use of grenade-shaped bracers and Momo's utility belt, among others. All Might, though, carries no gadgets at all.

All Might once told Izuku that he had tried making use of heroic gadgets, but these items usually broke apart or didn't help much, and not even the brilliant Mei Hatsume can help.

1 All Might Started Feeling Obsolete & Unwanted

All Might talks to Bakugo

In the eyes of characters like Izuku, Mirio, and Bakugo, All Might will always be a cherished symbol of peace and hope, but unfortunately, All Might doesn't seem to feel that way. Ever since he hung up his cape and lost his muscle form, he started feeling irrelevant and unwanted. Now he's just Toshinori Yagi, an ordinary man.

All Might started making awkward attempts to be funny or get attention on U.A.'s campus, such as when he spontaneously made cotton candy and tried to make a joke about it to the students, only for that joke to fall flat. He also lost his nerve later in the My Hero Academia manga and he needed a pep talk from, of all people, Stain the hero killer.
