My Hero Academia is a series that's loved for its story and its characters. This series does a great job at dissecting what it would be like to exist in a world of heroes, and it also does an amazing job at developing the character's personalities and motivations. It's easy to fall in love with the heroes, but it's often the villains who fans find the most compelling.

10 Fans Want The Best For Twice

twice mha

Twice is the most loving and relatable member of the League of Villans. His Quirk allows him to make copies of himself, which was working really well for him until he abused his Quirk. For most of his life after, he struggles with the idea that he may not be the original, and the thought of melting away terrifies him.

Despite his dark backstory, Twice is incredibly kind and loyal to his friends in the League of Villains. His quirky personality is what fans love most about him, and it's why they wished he could have had the life of a hero.

9 Shigaraki Is Being Used

My Hero Academia Tomura Shigaraki

At first, Shigaraki seems like the type of villain who likes seeing people suffer. However, as the story goes on and fans learn more about him, it becomes obvious that Shigaraki is not a mastermind, but a person who spent most of his life being used by others. Fans may have once hated Shigaraki, but now, they not only want him to be a hero, but they also want him to be saved.

8 Kurogiri Was Once A Friend

Kurogiri comes across as the suave man and one of Shigaraki's most loyal followers. While the other members of the League aren't afraid to voice their descent when Shigaraki makes a decision they don't like, Kurogiri seems to go along with every plan no matter what.

However, it becomes very apparent that there is a reason for that, and in a shocking twist, the characters learn that Kurogiri isn't a person but a Nomu created from Aizawa and Present Mic's former friend. Knowing who Kurogiri used to be, it's only natural that fans would want a better life for the former hero.

7 Dabi Is Hard To Hate

Dabi from My Hero Academia

Partly because of his aloof personality and mostly because of his looks, fans were quick to latch on to Dabi after his first appearance, especially when he became the League's contact for Hawks, and before they even understood his motivations or his backstory.

Fans were imagining different scenarios where Dabi was a vigilante or an undercover hero spying on the League. Unfortunately for those fans, this has proven to be unlikely, but his recently revealed backstory has definitely made him a more sympathetic character.

6 Toga Should Have Had A Different Life

As the most bubbly member of the League, it's only natural for fans to fall in love with Toga. She has a great relationship with all of her comrades, especially Twice, and she has proven on several occasions that she is incredibly loyal to the League and its members.

Most importantly, her backstory shows all the suffering she's been through as well as the faults within hero society. Toga may be happy where she is, but most fans wish she could have had a happy life as a hero.

5 Mr. Compress Is Too Fun To Hate

Mr. Compress from MHA

As a magician, it's only natural for Mr. Compress to have a big personality. He can be incredibly charming and intelligent, but what fans love most is how sassy he can be. The man has proven that he can be cruel and vengeful, but fans tend to look over that when he's showing off in the best of ways.

Even though he fits in perfectly with the League, fans wonder what he would have been as a hero, especially with a powerful Quirk like his. Mr. Compress may make for one awesome villain, but he could have made for an even better hero.

4 Spinner Could Have Been A Beacon For Justice

Spinner in My Hero Academia.

Spinner may be a follower of Stain's beliefs, but he certainly seems to be the most level-headed of the League's members. He isn't obsessed with killing and he has a serious personality, which often leads to him being the straight man of the group.

It's unfortunate that all his passion for justice has been directed towards villainy instead of heroism. With how determined and loyal he is, he would have made for one great hero.

3 Gentle Criminal Should Have Achieved His Dreams

My Hero Academia: Gentle Criminal Offered a Glimpse of All For One's World Order

Gentle Criminal is the least villainous of villains the series has ever had. Instead of killing people or causing mass destruction, he likes to pull pranks or steal from those who steal from others. His main goal is to be remembered as a great villain, and that's because he couldn't make it as a hero.

Seeing how hard he worked for his goals and how much he suffered really made fans feel for him. When he is eventually captured and given a chance to change his ways, fans couldn't help but be thrilled.

2 Everyone Wants Good Things For La Brava

La Brava, My Hero Academia

Like Gentle Criminal, La Brava isn't motivated by hurting others. Her only goal is to help Gentle Criminal achieve greatness, and if that means breaking into the largest hero school in Japan, then she's happy to do it.

Like many other villains, her backstory isn't a happy one. She was often abused by the people around her and was left feeling completely alone. Fans relate to her love for Gentle Criminal and her desire for acceptance, which is why they only want her to be happy.

1 Fans Are Rooting For Endeavor To Be Better

Endeavor may be the number two hero, but when he's first introduced he certainly didn't act like one. He abused his wife and children, and on top of that, he had an obsession with his son Shoto Todoroki becoming a hero and beating All Might.

Luckily for his family, Endeavor has seen the error of his ways, and he's slowly learning how to be a better father and mentor. Fans may have hated him at the beginning, but with the improvements he's made, everyone is rooting for him to be a true hero.
