My Hero Academia: Vigilantes was originally published in Jump GIGA in August 2016 and, as the title suggests, follows a group of unlicensed heroes who battle against evil without society's approval. Multiple characters from the mainline My Hero Academia story appear in the spinoff, with the most notable being Class 1A's homeroom teacher, Shota Aizawa/Eraserhead.

While My Hero Academia: Vigilantes may be coming to an end, Kohei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia manga is still going strong. In fact, the series recently passed an impressive sales milestone with over 10 million copies sold in the United States alone. Due to its popularity, the manga is getting a special edition re-release that will feature the first twenty volumes of the story, a 48-page bonus booklet and a double-sided poster. The edition is expected to be released sometime before the end of the year.

Furthermore, the cover of Volume 34 of the My Hero Academia manga features special, full-cover artwork of fan-favorite hero, Cathleen Bate/Star and Stripe. While the character only appears in the story for a few chapters, making her debut in Chapter 303, she quickly gained a passionate fan following.

As for the My Hero Academia anime, it was recently announced that there will be special baseball-themed OVA, titled "Hero League Baseball." Baseball is incredibly popular in Japan with the Nippon Professional Baseball league drawing massive crowds each year. My Hero Academia isn't the first anime series to leverage the sport's popularity. Jujutsu Kaisen, Assassination Classroom, Samurai Champloo, and Dragon Ball Super have all also featured baseball-themed episodes.

Moreover, the first episode of the anime's sixth season is set to make its debut at HeroFes, an annual festival dedicated to all things My Hero Academia, on July 24. The rest of the season is scheduled to premiere as part of the fall 2022 anime season.

The first five seasons of the My Hero Academia anime are available to stream on Crunchyroll and Hulu.
