One of the most popular characters in the anime/manga franchise My Hero Academia is Ochaco Uraraka, and the aspiring superhero is about to receive a new outfit.Manga translator Caleb Cook has provided a better look at Ochaco's new gear to help her manage her Quirk -- the franchise's term for superpower -- of being able to manipulate gravity when she puts her fingertips together. The new costume involves a redesigned helmet that removes Ochaco's face shield but reduces the stress on her ears to eliminate potential vertigo, while her gauntlets now possess little boosters to allow her to better navigate zero-gravity conditions.

Ochaco upgraded her costume in Chapter 246 of the long-running manga series. Cook provided artwork from the upcoming Chapter 248, in which Ochaco continues her work-study to become a Pro Hero.

As a friend and fellow classmate of series protagonist Izuku Midoriya at U.A. High School, Ochaco was one of the first students to speak with Izuku when he began his superhero studies and quickly befriended him after he saved her life. Ochaco has since quickly honed her Quirk to become one of the most powerful students in school.
