Himiko Toga from My Hero Academia has quickly become a fan favorite in terms of heroes to glomp on. Who can blame the fans? She's cute and driven. Though she is admittedly slightly insane. We won't hold that against her though.
Toga is an iconic villain, one who frequently shows up thanks to her alliance with Shigaraki and the League of Villains. Because of that, she's had plenty of opportunities to get into fights. Today, we're going to talk about ten theoretical fights, five of which she could win, and five she would lose in.
10 She Can Defeat: Yuga Aoyama
Sorry Yuga Aoyamaa, but you are on the list of people that Toga could take down. Aoyama is a character with a lot of potential, but thus far they haven't quite reached it. Despite a moment or two allowing for character growth, that is.
That is why we firmly believe Toga would win this fight. She's fast and brutal, and okay, just a tiny bit crazy. None of which Aoyama is prepared for.
9 She Can't Beat: Izuki Midoriya
There are a lot of reasons to believe that Toga couldn't beat Midoriya in a fight. One of which is that she simply wouldn't want to. She'd be having more fun fangirling over the situation. Even if that fangirling does come with a dose of pain for Midoriya.
He's also been getting a lot stronger lately, and thus, if he was really pushed, we don't believe Toga would have much of a chance against him. Not in the long run.
8 She Can Defeat: Ochaco Uraraka
This one is probably at least a little bit obvious, given that it's already occurred once. The fight against Toga and Ochaco is not exactly a fair one. Toga has already beaten Ochaco once, and during that time she was mostly having fun. She also didn't make any use of her quirk.
We're not sure that a rematch would go any differently if we're being honest. Though perhaps in time that would change.
7 She Can't Beat: Katsuki Bakugo
The odds are good that Toga would not fare well in a fight against Bakugo. After all, he's stubborn, powerful, and would not take lightly to being attacked. Nor would he hold back in a fight. All of these elements add up to a bad pairing for Toga.
Honestly, we have trouble picturing this fight going in any different direction. On the bright side, Toga has a strong sense of preservation, and thus she wouldn't be afraid to bail once she saw the writing on the wall.
6 She Can Defeat: Denki Kaminari
Denki Kaminari is another character we're going to have to put on the list of people she could defeat. Could he theoretically electrocute her? Sure. But he'd also be highly at risk of fuzzing out his brain... and Toga seems like the type of person to take advantage of that sort of situation, don't you think? So unless Kaminari could win with one powerful shot (high risk), then this is a fight he would not win.
5 She Can't Beat: Shoto Todoroki
Shoto Todoroki is not a character we'd want to fight. Nor do we think that Toga could win against him. She'd have to get close in order to stand any real chance, which would be difficult. Even with the blood of somebody he trusts, it would be a challenge. And even then she'd only have one high before he figured out what was going on. The odds are simply not in her favor for this battle.
4 She Can Defeat: Hanta Sero
Meanwhile, we have little doubt that Toga would win in a fight against Hanta Sero. To be fair, Sero actually has a lot of potential, both as a character and as a hero. But for the moment he's still in that gray area that leaves him vulnerable. Something which Toga would gladly take advantage of, don't you think?
There's also the chance that he would hold back in a fight against Toga, which is a fatal mistake. Or at least a bloody one.
3 She Can't Beat: Fumikage Tokoyami
Fumukage Tokoyami is not a character one should take on lightly. No pun intended there. Tokoyami's quirk is extremely powerful, and makes it difficult to get a surprise hit in. Even taking into account for Toga's quirk, this matchup just doesn't feel like it will go in her favor. Once again it would be a case of having to down him down with a single hit, and even then, there's no guarantee how Dark Shadow would react to that.
2 She Can Defeat: Tsuyu Asui
Last on our list for characters that Toga can defeat is Tsuyu Asui. These two have already faced off once, and it didn't go too well. While we think that in a fair fight Tsuyu would have decent odds, we also don't believe that Toga would fight fair.
Not to mention the fact that Tsuyu is an extremely empathetic character, making her at higher risk for falling for any tricks involving Toga's quirk. That is a dangerous game to play right there, and one that doesn't bode well for Froppy.
1 She Can't Beat: Eijiro Kirishima
It's kind of hard to consume blood from your victims when you can't cut their skin. That is why we don't believe that Toga would succeed in taking down Kirishima. Most of her attacks involve the need (or want) for cutting and blood, something that doesn't work well against Kirishima's defense.
Of course, there's always that concern about her quirk. There's a chance that she could trick him, but as with others on our list, any trick she did would have to allow for a fast and brutal attack. Given that Toga tends to play around, that doesn't seem likely.
