Nearly every character in My Hero Academia is born with a Quirk, allowing them to perform feats far beyond the capabilities of ordinary humans. However, it takes a long time for most people to learn how to manifest their powers safely, let alone wield them in an effective manner (and without casualties).

On the other hand, there are occasions when characters have been able to get by on the basis of talent, even against those who work extremely hard to reach the level they are currently at. This doesn't mean that the loser is necessarily weaker than the winner, just that the latter's raw skill in that particular instance is overwhelming.

10 The U.S.J. Nomu Instantly Overcomes Eraser Head

USJ nomu fighting aizawa

Eraser Head takes Class 1-A to a special training program known as the Unforeseen Simulation Joint, hoping to teach his students how to overcome obstacles that they aren't prepared for.

Ironically, he is himself taken aback when the League of Villains invades the arena, but he manages to dispatch several minor minions using his Erasure Quirk. Unfortunately, Eraser Head's lifelong labor is cruelly crushed by the Nomu, an artificial human born with the ability to use multiple Quirks.

9 Tokoyami Overpowers Momo Yaoyorozu With Dark Shadow

Yaoyorozu vs Dark Shadow in MHA

Momo Yaoyorozu's Creation is theoretically limitless, with its only major disadvantage being the finite amount of lipids present in her body.

However, she develops an inferiority complex upon observing her classmates growing at a rapid pace, even though Momo is the most dedicated student in 1-A. She later loses a major fight to Tokoyami, whose Dark Shadow Quirk is significantly stronger than Momo's Quirk in almost every respect.

8 Deku Stretches One For All To 1,000,000% Against Goto Imasuji

My Hero Academia deku vs muscular

When Kota is cornered by the man who killed his parents, it falls to Deku to save the little boy from an identical fate. Imasuji proves to be way too strong for One For All at 100%, which isn't all that surprising given that the villain has decades to perfect his Muscle Augmentation.

With no other option, Deku somehow charges One For All to 1 million percent, relying on his Quirk's limitless potential to finish the battle with a single punch.

7 Shinso Brainwashes Several Competitors During The Sports Festival Cavalry Battle

Hitoshi Shinso Facing Midoriya In The Sports Festival

Although not part of the Hero Studies program, Shinso proves that he's hero material during the Sports Festival Cavalry Battle. After his team unexpectedly wins the Cavalry Battle, his partners, Shoda and Ojiro drop out of the finals, claiming that they have no recollection of the previous round.

This is because Shinso uses his Brainwash Quirk on both his teammates and Team Tetsutetsu, easily circumventing his opponents' Quirks without their knowledge.

6 All For One Crushes The Hideout Raid Team

Mt. Lady at Kamino vs One For All

As All Might's team takes down the League of Villains in order to rescue Bakugo, All For One emerges on the other side of Kamino Ward, facing Best Jeanist, Gang Orca, Tiger, and Mt. Lady.

The Pro Heroes are not aware of the villain's identity at this point, but their precautionary measures prove to be no match for All For One's overwhelming power. In fact, All For One states that Best Jeanist's Fiber Master requires far too much finesse to control effectively, preferring to settle the matter with his other Quirks instead.

5 Ibara Shiozaki Defeats Denki Kaminari With Little Effort

Ibara defeats Kaminari at the Sports Festival in MHA

Denki Kaminari arrogantly asserts that he will defeat Ibara Shiozaki of Class 1-B in less than a minute, exhibiting some pretty bold audacity when he asks her out on a date.

He subsequently lets loose his Electrification Quirk, striking Ibara with Indiscriminate Shock 1.3 Million Volts. To everyone's surprise, she insulates herself with her Vines while simultaneously capturing Kaminari using an underground attack.

4 Tomura Shigaraki Reveals His Augmented Decay Quirk

Tomura Shigaraki Awakening his Decay

Tomura Shigaraki emerges from his glass cocoon a bit too early for his newest Quirk, All For One, to take proper effect. However, his incubation period is seemingly sufficient to magnify the effects of his Decay, as seen when Tomura atomizes dozens of buildings in one go.

Further, the Pro Heroes present at the scene are unable to deflect Decay's incredible speed and attack potential, a hint that Tomura is going to be the next big villain in My Hero Academia.

3 Deku Takes Down Kai Chisaki With Eri's Magnificent Quirk

Deku and Eri vs Overhaul in MHA

Deku is distraught to discover that his One For All: Full Cowl at 20% isn't enough to defeat Chisaki's Overhaul, but Eri's presence forces him to push his Quirk to the point of severe injury.

Ultimately, the little girl lends her Rewind to Deku, reversing any damage caused by One For All, consequently permitting him to continuously exert himself at 100%. This is the only reason that Chisaki is brought down, an event that realigns the allegedly inevitable future observed by Mirai Sasaki.

2 Bakugo Defeats Uraraka Using Sheer Force

Bakugo towers over Ochaco

Ochaco Uraraka creates a complex strategy against Bakugo, aiming to take him by surprise. A smart plan, considering that her opponent's Explosion is far too destructive to tackle head-on.

Uraraka's incessant attacks create a cloud of dust around both of them, which she ingeniously uses to set up her overhead assault. That is, until Bakugo blasts her falling rocks away with every ounce of his power, proving once and for all that Uraraka's game plan is incomparable to his Quirk's offensive force.

1 Almost All Of Shoto Todoroki's Early Fights

Shoto touches the fake weapon and wins the mock battle against Ojiro

Shoto uses nothing but his ice in his early battles, having sworn an oath never to fight with his "father's fire." That said, his left side is more than adequate in most scenarios, like when he freezes the entire building (and his opponents) during All Might's Battle Trial for Class 1-A.

Later, Shoto attacks Hanta Sero using his overblown Heaven-Piercing Ice Wall, earning an effortless victory in the process. It must be noted that Shoto's combat prowess is partly due to his intense childhood training regimen, but his Half-Cold Half-Hot Quirk is terrifying regardless.
