Toshinori Yagi, Dad Might, The #1 Hero, The Symbol of Justice, and finally, the man known as All Might. This imposing yet friendly figure belongs to one of the biggest characters in My Hero Academia. Deku might be the main character, but he's only in control of the camera because All Might trusted him with One for All.

Toshinori is adorable, handsome, charming, fearless, courageous, unbreakable, and awe-inspiring. Every single do-gooder looks up to him in some way, and very few could even put up a fight against him. But, there are some aspects of his that fans seem to ignore, and we're here to bring them to light.

10 He's An Attempted Murderer

All Might is basically a big teddy bear. He might be the strongest man alive, but he's nothing but friendly to everyone around him. People see him as the symbol of Justice and justice is embodied by those who follow the rules society has set. And, one such rule is that Heroes are not the Judge, Jury, or Executioner.

They catch criminals and hand them to the police, they don't pass their sentence or carry it out. So, when All Might admitted that he thought he had failed to kill his rival, All for One in the past, we were pretty surprised. The Symbol of Justice knowingly attempted Murder and thought he had achieved it. He didn't turn himself in after, and he kept it a secret.

9 He Yells Obscenities Like Joseph Joestar

This happened a lot more at the beginning of the Anime/Manga, so maybe author Kohei Horikoshi noticed the similarity, but All Might used to share a very hilarious trait with one Joseph Joestar from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. We can't count the number of meme images and gifs out there that highlight Joseph's odd need to yell obscenities in English, but he does it constantly.

Well, All Might used to do the same thing, whether it was when Deku originally unintentionally held him up from hiding his weakened form in the first episode, or when he pretended to be fine so that Shigaraki and his Nomu would run away during the USJ incident. It was honestly pretty charming, but fans seem to want to forget this trait ever existed.

8 He's Still Never Fully Explained How His Muscle Form Works

Saying it's like when an overweight man sucks in his gut at the pool is not a proper explanation All Might! Sure, it helps us understand what it probably feels like he's doing when he goes from weakened to muscle form, but it doesn't at all explain how it actually works.

Keep in mind, the muscular form is All Mights natural state in his prime, and his weakened form is his natural state after his fated battle with All for One. But, how does he literally add mass to himself? Fans used to think that maybe it had something to do with his Quirk before One for All, but the #1 Hero himself confirmed he used to be Quirkless, so what gives?

7 He Likely Knew Of Endeavors Private Crimes

all might and endeavor

It's not exactly a secret that Endeavor and All Might have a long history. They're the two top heroes in Japan, they're constantly in competition, and Endeavor has done everything in his power so that he or Shoto may surpass Toshinori. That said, both of these symbols are seemingly in their late 30's to early 40's so they've likely known each other for a long time.

And, in that time, we can be sure that Endeavor didn't hide his poor family relationship well enough for All Might to not notice. We're positive that someone who is so intelligent and observative couldn't have missed all the warning signs about Endeavors abuse. So, did he just give the man the benefit of the doubt? Or did he ignore it?

6 He Absolutely Plays Favorites

As much as All Might likes to pretend, he's absolutely not an unbiased instructor for UA. Yes, Aizawa might not be perfect either, but he's a much better teacher than All Might, in every sense of the word. For example, have we ever seen All Might utter even a sentence to Mineta, or Koda, or even Hagakure?

No, the guy only seems to give advice and pay attention to the stars of class 1A. Sure, after he fully passes One for All on, he takes a more direct approach to teaching, but even then, we've only seen him utter advice to Kirishima, Deku, Bakugou, Todoroki, and Tokoyami.

5 He's Less Trusted By The Previous One For All Holders Than Midoriya

All Might is obviously the most successful holder of One for All, sure 7 people might've possessed it before him, but none of them seem to be more memorable than the Symbol of Justice himself. He mastered using the stockpile function of the worlds strongest Quirk, so much so that he could cause rain to appear with a single uppercut.

But, how did he never access the truth of the Vestiges as Deku did? It's not like Deku has come even close to mastering the Quirk as much as Toshinori did, and they're both Quirkless by default. So why didn't All Might get access to all the stockpiled Quirks? Where were his visions of the past?

4 He Has Some Awful Notification Sounds

All Might is a bit cringy, but in the same way your dad would be. He says stupid puns, is overly cheesy, and is about as wholesome as they come. And, for the most part, this works in his favor. People feel comfortable around him quickly, he's able to diffuse most situations, and he's great on camera.

But, one area where it doesn't work is with his cell phone and email. Basically, All Might uses his own catchphrase as his notification sound. Whether it's texts, calls, emails, or anything else, this apparently narcissistic hero uses his own voice and phrase as his ringtone.

3 He Runs His Own Agency, Apparently

Remember how All Might has his own Hero Agency? Yeah, us neither. That's because we've never even seen it once. The guy is the number one hero! Obviously, he has his own agency, and Hori has already confirmed that he does. But, we've never seen him there, and we've never seen anyone that works for him.

And, if only a select few know his secret form, then how could he ever work in an office all day when his maximum physical form output is 3 hours? That said, it might've appeared in the spin-off manga Vigilantes when he first becomes friends with police officer Tsukauchi, but we can't be certain.

2 He Has Almost Crippled Deku Multiple Times

All Might doesn't do anything half-heartedly, it's just not his way. If he's going to do something, he's going to put 110% into it, maybe more. And that goes for training Deku as well. The guy made him lift oddly shaped objects off the beach for months, and any one of them could've given the poor boy tetanus or caused a spinal issue.

But, more than that, All Might has actually encouraged Deku in ways that cause the boy to hurt himself irreparably. Don't even get us started on the summer camp exam where All Might slammed straight into Deku's spine at full force and slammed a fence into it to pin him to the ground.

1 He Represents Japan Yet Acts Like An American

So here's the thing, Toshinori Yagi is a full-blooded Japanese man. But, All Might is a nerd for American Culture, that's why he uses the color scheme as his own, names his moves after American states, and built his body to look bulky and looming.

But, what sort of message does that spread as the #1 Hero of Japan? If you want to be like the #1 Hero, do you have to worship America as well? It's not a problem or anything, just a bit of an odd choice on his part.
