The new movie features new, darker costumes for series protagonists Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo and Shoto Todoroki. Earlier teaser trailers for World Heroes' Mission suggest that our trio of heroes will be on the run from the law after Midoriya is labeled a murderer. The students from U.A. Academy will have to team up with new superheroes from around the world in order to thwart the plans of a terrorist group named Humanity, which believes that the proliferation of superpower granting Quirks throughout the human population will eventually lead to the end of the world.

The movie will be directed by Kenji Nagasaki, who previously directed all five seasons of the My Hero Academia anime, as well as the two previous films. Nagasaki has also worked on series such as Gundam: Build Fighters and Tenjho Tenge. Nagasaki is joined by veteran scriptwriter Yosuke Kuroda, who anime fans may recognize from their work on Excel Saga, Mobile Suit Gundam: OO and Honey and Clover. Animation duties are once again being handled by studio BONES.

The My Hero Academia anime series is currently available for streaming on Hulu, Netflix, Crunchyroll and Funimation. The first film in the series, Two Heroes, is available via Netflix, while the second movie in the series, Heroes Rising, is streaming on Hulu.
