The My Hero Academia anime is set to return in 2022, and already, there are two trailers available for the anime's sixth season. The second trailer in particular made it clear which specific pro heroes and U.A. students will play a significant role in the upcoming battle against the Paranormal Liberation Front.

The upcoming story arc may be one of the anime's darkest and most brutal yet, even when compared to the "Shie Hassaikai Raid" story arc, and it's possible that not all of these pro heroes will make it out alive. No matter what happens though, some of these pro heroes are overdue for their turn in the spotlight, and others are brand-new in the anime.

Present Mic May Finally Fight For Real

present mic

A few of the pro heroes featured in the Season 6 trailers are familiar faces, but they feel fresh all over again because these characters have not yet been seen in a serious fight. That may soon change in Season 6. The DJ hero Present Mic will surely get some screen time in the next story arc and show fans what he can really do with that earsplitting Voice Quirk of his. Present Mic's character got some rich development in Season 5 alongside Aizawa, and now it's time for the payoff. Present Mic can't be a gag character forever -- now is the time to test him in a real battle against the strongest villains of all.

Midnight Is Overdue For Her First Serious Fight, Too

midnight pro hero

The R-rated hero Midnight is in the same position as her co-worker Present Mic, being a teacher at the U.A. school who has yet to take part in a serious fight against villains. So far, Midnight's only on-screen battle pitted her against a student, Minoru Mineta, and aside from that, she has played a supporting role in the U.A. sports festival and other events. The full extent of Midnight's combat capabilities are thus still unclear, such as the maximum range of her sleep-inducing Quirk or her agility and melee combat prowess.

Edgeshot Needs His Own Heroic Moment

Edgeshot from My Hero Academia.

Edgeshot is a third hero in the new trailer who has already appeared in the My Hero Academia anime but has not yet shown viewers his full potential. He appeared once during the villain hideout raid when All Might and his allies rescued Katsuki Bakugo from the League of Villains. Edgeshot the ninja hero was briefly seen fighting the villains, and while he did well, it wasn't enough to satisfy some viewers. Soon, Best Jeanist and especially All Might dominated the scene, and Edgeshot quietly vanished. Now, he may play a much larger role in the battle against Tomura Shigaraki and put his stealth skills to good use at last -- and he may have some Quirk-based tricks viewers have not yet seen him use.

Mirko Hasn't Done Anything Yet

mirko the hero

Mirko is a rabbit-themed pro hero with a kick-based Quirk at her disposal, and she made a cameo near the end of Season 4 when Hawks the winged hero made his big debut. At the time, Mirko made a strong impression with her words and confident attitude, but since then, she has said and done very little, which may have disappointed some fans. Mirko has an intriguing look and stands as the strongest female pro hero in active service, so it's long past time for fans to see what she can really do when the chips are down. No doubt she'll shine as a melee powerhouse when the united heroes take the fight to Tomura's legions.

Crust Is An All-New Hero

A brand-new pro hero made his first appearance in the Season 6 trailer -- a mysterious hero known only as Crust. At this point, nothing is known of Crust in the anime aside from his appearance from the shoulders up, so the possibilities are endless. Given the stakes though, it's likely that Crust ranks among the strongest pro heroes, as opposed to minor heroes like Manual and Uwabami. Whatever Crust can do, it must be impressive, and he looks like a well-built fellow who can do some serious damage. Crust is definitely a hero to watch out for in the new season.
