The teachers at U.A. are an eclectic group of combat, disaster relief, and investigative professionals. Their staffing lineup certainly befits an institution whose purpose is to shape the safety and protection of the world's future, and there's very little doubt that they produce results. With people like All Might and Eraser Head being proud alumni and Deku and Bakugou being prospective valedictorians, being a teacher here is an honor akin to an actual hero work.
And while people like All Might and Eraser Head are already doing a bang up job, there's always room for expansion and diversification. There's a large world of Pro Heroes out there; and while those active agents are currently doing a great job on the field, one can't help but feel that a few them may be destined to guide U.A.'s halls.
10 Edgeshot
Horikoshi Kohei is known for having inspired his series after Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto, and there are few instances where this is more evident than the literal ninja working alongside a world of superheroes. Staying true to form, Edgeshot is a calm and collected professional who's always planning his next but is always ready to attack.
In recent years, he's even taken a leadership roll, taking in Kamui Woods and Mt. Lady as part of his new team, The Lurkers. With his exceptional combat ability and proven interest in guiding younger heroes, the paper-like hero could be quite the page turner for U.A.'s kids.
9 Ragdoll
Ragdoll's heroic career was sadly cut short after she was kidnapped during the League of Villain's raid on U.A.'s training camp and had her Quirk stolen by All for One. Seeing a once proud Pro Hero made to be just an office worker has been one of the most humbling and regretful arcs in the series. If there's any saving grace for her character, besides just getting her Quirk back, it may be going into teaching.
As the saying goes, those who can't do teach. Not only should she have exceptional experience that would be beneficial to any aspiring hero, but her former Quirk, Search, should've allowed her special insight to a variety of powers and abilities, a valuable perspective for people learning to master their own Quirks as well as training to combat other's.
8 Gang Orca
Gang Orca already has a strong interest in kids and seemed to be an invested volunteer within the Provisional License Exams, both playing the part of a malevolent villain as well as being quick to critique the students' work. While his position as the tenth (and later, twelfth) highest ranked hero isn't too shabby, Gang Orca likely has a more prominent legacy as the "third among heroes who look like villains."
While that's not inherently a great trait for aspiring heroes, this built-in stigma could be inspiring for a certain sect of kids who feel discouraged because their looks and Quirks seem more akin to a villain's, such as the case with Hitoshi Shinso.
7 Selkie
Selkie debuted in a filler episode of the anime but was quickly added as a welcome member of the canon roster. In his debut, he served as Asui Tsuyu's mentor for her internship. While on his ship, Tsuyu got to learn a lot about disaster relief, particularly in a water-based setting.
When Tsuyu and another one of his crewmembers get kidnapped by a villain, Selkie is quick to go after them and, despite the villains' best efforts, is even quicker to dispose of those who dared to hurt his crew. Given his natural leadership ability and how U.A. could use more heroes with different environmental expertise, Selkie could likely set course for U.A. in the future.
6 Fat Gum
Fat Gum is an ex-police officer turned Pro Hero, Kirishima's old hero mentor, and one of the leading members of the raid on the Shie Hassaikai. Because of his time with the police, Fat Gum already has exceptional knowledge of My Hero Academia's underworld which is likely why he was asked to help fight against the Shie Hassaikai.
He also showed incredible ingenuity and patience when bringing in the fledgling Kirishima into a heated fight, simultaneously mentoring and supporting the kid. As versatile as the very fat surrounding his body, Fat Gum could definitely look at teaching as his third, career opportunity.
5 Ryukyu
Ryukyu may not receive the same praise as some of her higher-up peers, but she was a pivotal part of the raid on the Shie Hassaikai and has been one of the best mentors in the series' background.
Not only is she the hero work-study for one of U.A.'s legendary Big Three, Nejire Hado, but she's even taken Class 1-A's Ochaco Uraraka and Tsuyu Asui under her dragon wings and seems to be closely monitoring all three's progress. Being able to manage three aspiring heroes and being a versatile hero for a variety of work makes Ryukyu an ideal future, member of U.A.'s staff.
4 Mirko
Mirko at the moment certainly isn't a prime candidate to become a U.A. teacher. Strength wise, she's one of the most exceptional heroes around. Her Quirk, Rabbit, has given her the incredible ability to run and hop around a battlefield at powerful speeds as well as kick foes with earth shattering force.
However, this inherent jumpiness has also made her very arrogant and a huge risk taker. While it's admirable for a hero to put their life on the line, Mirko arguably overdoes it. This, however, does set her up to learn a greater lesson on humility; and given that kids like Bakugo or Neito Monoma are learning the same thing, she could connect with some U.A. students at a deeper level.
3 Hawks
Hawks' complicated history has only started to be shown within the story; but despite whatever background he might have had, he's certainly crawled out of it by this point. As one of the most skilled heroes around, Hawks is willing to do all manner of things in the name of hero work. This includes assisting Endeavor during a great battle, mentoring the likes of Tokoyama when he's struggling to control his Quirk, and even infiltrate villain ranks to collect information.
Barely in his early twenties, Hawks is nothing less than committed to his hero work; and given his lengthy experiences between combat, collecting intelligence, and whatever went on during his childhood, Hawks could bring a wealth of experiences to U.A.
2 Best Jeanist
Best Jeanist is one of the top ranked heroes in the world, already rivaling the ranks of All Might and Endeavor during My Hero Academia's early years, and he's yet to slow down his legacy since. He was a major contributor on one of the first raids on the League of Villains as well as the fight against All for One.
Jeanist certainly has the guts for hero work, as evident when he sacrificed himself during the Hideout Raid Arc; but he also has the acumen for mentoring and teaching, best exemplified when he took the unenviable job of hiring Katsuki Bakugo as his intern. With that level of patience and an even higher level of style, Best Jeanist could be a great U.A. teacher.
1 Endeavor
Family disputes and controversies aside, there's no doubt that Endeavor has an invaluable wealth of experience and leadership that could certainly find some use in U.A.'s classrooms. Having been the Number 2 for so long, Endeavor worked hard to maintain a legacy of competition and excellence. While that effort may have alienated his own family, Endeavor did become famous for solving the most cases out of any hero in My Hero Academia.
He also has an exceptional eye for power and Quirk control, as he's done a decent job of helping Todoroki, Deku, and Bakugo during their recent work study. If he ever works through his personal problems and if U.A. is willing to take him in, Endeavor could stand alongside All Might as an incredible teacher.
