My Hero Academia is a popular example of the superhero anime genre, and this colorful series draws inspiration from classic shonen titles and from American comics from Marvel, DC, and more. In this world, costumed pro heroes risk their very lives to fight crime on the streets, and they sometimes form teams such as the Lurkers to take down powerful threats.

Some pro hero agencies are like a miniature Avengers team, and if Nick Fury ever visited the MHA world, he would choose a few pro heroes to formally join the Avengers and help them fight threats such as the robotic Ultron and the mighty Thanos in the MCU. Some pro heroes have the right skills and attitude to join the Avengers, but others simply do not. Who will get an invitation to join the Avengers?

10 COULD JOIN THE AVENGERS: All Might Is An Obvious Candidate

Anime My Hero Academia All Might Punch

All Might is the seemingly invincible symbol of peace, and his mere presence is enough to keep villainy and crime at bay. He can also inspire the masses and keep society safe just from his personality and media presence, and of course, he is downright unstoppable in battle.

Nick Fury would be blown away if he ever met All Might, who has the personality of Captain America combined with the Hulk's and Thor's strength. A mighty hero like him is a must-have for the Avengers, and even Loki and Thanos would think twice before challenging him.

9 COULDN'T JOIN THE AVENGERS: Rock Lock's Skills Are Too Narrow

Rock Lock helping attack Shie Hassaikai during season 4 of My Hero Academia

Rock Lock is a pro hero who makes his debut in Season 4, and he has the ability to "lock" solid items into position in midair. He is often seen doing this to create stepping stones in the air, and he can also set up solid barriers by locking an item into place. Only extreme force can move the locked items.

Rock Lock is a decent support hero, but the Avengers don't need his particular skills. They already have Wanda Maximoff's magic to levitate items and summon barriers, and Rock Lock's offensive potential is rather limited. He would struggle against the Chitauri aliens and Ultron's robots.

8 COULD JOIN THE AVENGERS: Midnight Is Ideal For Capture Missions

midnight my hero academia

For the most part, Nick Fury needs powerful melee heroes or ranged specialists on the Avengers, but not every Avenger needs to level a city block. Some Avengers such as the sneaky Ant-Man and the super-spy Black Widow are valued for their ability to carry out covert ops and capture, rather than kill, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s enemies.

If Nick Fury needs to capture and interrogate Hydra agents, he could send Midnight, who can put people to sleep with her airborne Quirk. No Hydra agent would get a chance to shoot her or escape before they're sent off to dreamland. Then they're easily captured and dragged off to Nick Fury.

7 COULDN'T JOIN THE AVENGERS: Tiger Is Obsolete Compared To Some Avengers

tiger in my hero academia

The Avengers need melee-oriented heroes to fight Earth's enemies up close, and All Might is easily up to the job. Of course, not every hero can be All Might caliber, but melee heroes still need to offer something to the Avengers, and Tiger falls short.

The burly Tiger has some impressive martial arts skills and a Pliabody Quirk to help him evade enemy attacks, but this isn't enough to earn him a spot in the Avengers. He couldn't even outclass Drax the Destroyer, let alone the Hulk or Thor.

6 COULD JOIN THE AVENGERS: Hawks Can Dominate The Skies

Hawks in My Hero Academia.

The pro hero known as Hawks is ranked #2 despite his youth, and he is already one of the most popular and well-respected pro heroes out there. Hawks has a pair of bird-like wings, which might remind Marvel fans of the X-Men member Angel.

RELATED: My Hero Academia: 10 Times the Pro Heroes Failed

Hawks can fly at incredible speeds and also remotely control dozens of his feathers to move objects or people with ease. He can also use larger feathers as sharp swords to slice his enemies apart. He can easily compete with Sam Wilson/Falcon, if not surpass him, as an Avenger.

5 COULDN'T JOIN THE AVENGERS: Selkie Only Works In Water

Selkie, the Sea Rescue hero from My Hero Academia.

Selki is an aquatic pro hero who has his own boat, and he is most comfortable when fighting crime on the open waves. He is a melee hero who can throw serious punches and swim at incredible speeds, as per his Spotted Seal Quirk. He also has Sirius to back him up.

Selkie made a good impression on Tsuyu Asui during Tsuyu's internship, but Selkie won't impress Nick Fury, who needs more than an above-average swimmer. The Avengers often fight on battlefields far away from large bodies of water, such as the dry surface of Titan or the plains of Wakanda.

4 COULD JOIN THE AVENGERS: Edgeshot Has Ninja Skills

edgeshot the ninja hero making a hand jutsu in my hero academia

Edgeshot ranks 4th among all pro heroes, and it's easy to see why. This ninja-like hero is a cool-headed and smart fighter, and that's the sort of person Nick Fury needs to recruit to the Avengers. Edgeshot also has a remarkable Quirk that folds up his body into thin lines.

RELATED: My Hero Academia: 10 Pro Heroes Who Don't Deserve Their Licenses

Edgeshot can sneak in or out of any area when his body is folded up like that, and he can also pierce his enemies with his folded-up body like a living spear. He can't demolish a building or shoot down a dozen Chitauri aircraft, but he doesn't need to. Nick Fury can find plenty of uses for him.

3 COULDN'T JOIN THE AVENGERS: Snipe Is Rather Redundant

my hero academia snipe

Snipe is a pro hero who can guide his bullets through the air with his Quirk, which would remind anime fans of Hol Horse the Stand user from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Snipe is a decent hero, but he'll have a tough time earning a slot in the Avengers.

Snipe is already outclassed by the archer Hawkeye, who also has an incredible aim and can also use a wide variety of arrowheads for different battlefield conditions. Snipe can't easily compete with Hawkeye, so he'll get rejected from the Avengers.

2 COULD JOIN THE AVENGERS: Sir Nighteye Can See The Future

Sir Nighteye's cold stare in My Hero Academia.

Sir Nighteye the pro hero has talents that no other hero or Avenger can rival. He can actually see the future, which is an obvious advantage for anyone who's on his team. He has limited combat skills, but with his future sight, he can avoid enemy attacks, such as when he evades Izuku Midoriya for three minutes.

Sir Nighteye could be kept aboard the helicarrier with some bodyguards, and then he could look into the future and find where Loki and the Tesseract are. Later, he could track Ultron's movements in the future, and then predict where and when Thanos will strike.

1 COULDN'T JOIN THE AVENGERS: Gunhead Lacks Sufficient Firepower

gunhead throwing a punch in my hero academia

Gunhead is a pro hero who is best off fighting ordinary criminals and thugs who are making trouble on the streets. Gunhead has remarkable martial arts skills and a Quirk that can fire organic projectiles from his wrists, but this isn't enough to impress Nick Fury.

Gunhead wouldn't be able to handle an Avengers-level threat, and while he could help train S.H.I.E.L.D. soldiers and agents, Nick can find plenty of characters in his own universe to handle that job.
