There's no denying that Bakugo is one of U.A's most powerful students. Many factors contribute to this such as his unyielding ferocious willpower, combat proficiency, and mastery over his explosive quirk. Despite some inconsistencies about his quirk that makes no sense, Bakugo has defeated many powerful characters in My Hero Academia such as Fumikage Tokoyami, Shoto Todoroki, and Eiji Kirishima.

Sure, Bakugo is certainly an explosive powerhouse- in the world of My Hero Academia. But how would he fare against the inhabitants of the Pokemon world? There are just too many Pokemon to even consider that question. So here are 5 Pokemon Bakugo would definitely defeat, and 5 the other way around.

10 Defeat: Rhydon

Rhydon is a rock and ground-type Pokemon and the evolved form of Rhyhorn. Surely his tough, rocky exterior would provide him ample protection from Bakugou's explosion right? No. Time and time again Bakugo has shown just how powerful his quirk can be. For instance, there was his fight against Kirishima during the U.A Sports Festival.

Initially, Kirishima's hardening quirk could withstand Bakugo's explosion. Bakugo would not relent, instead, he kept blasting Kirishima until his defenses withered down until he couldn't take any more. Safe to say, if Kirishima's defense can be blasted through, then so can Rhydon's.

9 Lose To: Metagross

Pokemon Metagross

As a steel type and a pseudo-legendary pokemon, Metagross is undeniably powerful. Both in terms of offense and defense. His dense steel hide makes it near impossible for Bakugo to breakthrough. Let alone even make a dent. The Pokedex describes Metagross being more intelligent than a supercomputer. This means Metagross would've formed a strategy to defeat Bakugo before the battle even started.

This strategy could involve Metagross using Psychic to paralyze then pull Bakugo closer. Once Bakugo is in range Metagroos can then deliver a powerful attack like Meteor Mash or Hyper Beam.

8 Defeat: Blaziken

Pokemon Blaziken Cropped

Oh wow, Bakugo vs Blaziken would be one awesome fight! To be fair, if Blaziken wasn't a fire-type he could've stood a chance against his explosive opponent. The power of Bakugo's quirk is measured by the amount of sweat he secretes. The more he sweats, the more powerful his attacks become. What makes humans sweat? Physical exertion or heat.

So consequently, Blaziken's fire attacks would do more harm than good. Even his hidden ability, Blaze, would turn out to be a major hindrance as it increases his fire attacks. That is the last thing Blaziken needs.

7 Lose To: Deoxys

Now for a Mythical pokemon. Firstly, can we all appreciate what an awesome name Deoxys is? So awesome. Anyway, Bakugo and Deoxys share one commonality- they're both exceptionally adaptable. Bakugo is highly adept at handling his quirk. He can use his quirk for mobility, stunning, and is always experimenting with new ways to enhance its combat capabilities. Deoxys can morph itself to adapt to the combat scenario.

However, Deoxys's defense form and psychic abilities do give him an advantage over Bakugo. Deoxys can use it's defense form to withstand Bakugo's attacks and then use its psychic moves to defeat him. Let's not forget Deoxys can regenerate too.

6 Defeat: Exploud

Exploud is a Normal-type Pokemon and the evolved form of Loudred. Because of their low offensive stats, Normal-types are generally considered not very powerful. Exploud is capable of learning heavy damage dealing moves like Giga Impact and Fire Blast, yet those moves pale in comparison to the might of Bakugo's quirk.

There was that time when Ochaco sent a hail of debris down upon Bakugo during the U.A Sports Festival. With one explosive burst, Bakugo was able to completely obliterate the falling debris. There's no way Exploud can match up to that. Now when it comes to which one is the loudest...well, that's still up for debate.

5 Lose To: Giratina

Giratina

Despite only being a teenager, Bakugo has already built a reputation amongst the hero community for his immense power and skill. He can easily face against most villains and heroes in the world of My Hero Academia. Thus he could still have a chance against Giratina, in his world. But how would the young hero fare when he's in Giratina's World?

The Reverse World is Giratina's home turf, this gives the Pokemon an instant advantage. Giratina knows the Reverse World like the back of its wing. Additionally, its signature move, Shadow Force, gives Giratina the power to vanish then reappear. This move gives Giratina another tactical advantage over Bakugo.

4 Defeat: Moltres

Here is yet another fire-type Pokemon. Like with Blaziken, Moltres's bodily flames and fire attacks are unfortunately major hindrances. As the emanating heat will cause Bakugo to sweat more and in turn amplify his quirk. Sure, Moltres can fly, but it wouldn't help the Pokemon that much. Because one of the things Bakugo can do is also fly. Well, it's more like propulsion.

Using the recoil from his explosions, Bakugo can propel himself across the sky. Moltres is more experienced in the air than Bakugo, but Bakugo can launch himself into the air in seconds. Like when he escaped from the League of Villains.

3 Lose To: Arceus

C'mon, this is Arceus we're talking about here. Bakugo doesn't stand a chance against the Pokemon God. The "Original One" that created the entire Pokemon Universe. By harnessing the power of the 17 Life Plates, Arceus can transform itself into all of the Pokemon-types. This ability makes Arceus highly adaptable as it can change its type to counter any attack Bakugo throws.

Being that Arceus is basically the God of all Pokemon, there's no doubt it would know some powerful moves. For example, there is Arceus's trump card, Judgment. A devastating move that unleashes a barrage of meteors down upon it's opponent.

2 Defeat: Sceptile

Sawyer Sceptile

Sceptile is the final evolved form of Treecko, one of the starter pokemon of the Hoenn Region. Being a grass type means that Sceptile is weak against fire types. While Bakugo's quirk isn't what you'd think of as a fire quirk, it's still capable of inflicting incendiary damage.

Bakugo can counter any grass attack Sceptile throws at him. It's obvious there is no way Sceptile would withstand a direct hit from Bakugo's ultimate move, Howitzer Impact. That's only if Sceptile somehow lasts long enough to withstand Bakugo's explosions. Which is very unlikely.

1 Lose To: Eternatus

Eternatus

Like Deoxys, Eternatus is an alien legendary Pokemon. At a height of a staggering 20 meters, Eternatus has (finally) overthrown Wailord as the largest Pokemon ever! It's size isn't the only thing Bakugo will need to worry about. Enternatus has a special ability to absorb energy. If it has absorbed too much energy, it will cause the fabric of space-time to tear.

Bakugo's attacks won't even make a dent, and that's saying a lot. His explosions will only feed Eternatus's hunger. To be frank, when you're facing a massive alien creature that can destroy an entire region there's only one thing to do. RUN.
