Overhaul was one of the main villains in season four of My Hero Academia. The quirk which shares his namesake is among the deadliest in the series, able to kill opponents in a single touch or mend his wounds as needed. Consequently, he proved perhaps Deku's greatest challenge at the time of their battle.RELATED: My Hero Academia: Why All Might VS All For One Is The Franchise's Best Fight (& 5 Why It’s Lemillion Vs Overhaul)On account of his versatility and somewhat sympathetic backstory, many fans have endeared themselves to the iconic crime lord. To honor him, they have created dozens of unique cosplay that demonstrate the ingenuity and talent of the anime's fanbase.

10 The Man In Black

milliub presents an awesome and morbid iteration of Overhaul's outfit in their well-assembled piece. His gear is almost entirely black, forgoing the villain's familiar dark green and purple design.

Given the fate which befell Chisaki in the canon series—having his arms taken by Shigaraki and watching his organization collapse into disrepair—it's easy to imagine his return wearing something like what is seen here. It would be an adequate display of mourning and grief, one which makes the antagonist a tragic, and possibly relatable, character.

9 Hands Of Fate

SrTraffy calls attention to Overhaul's medical gloves in this chilling piece. The second image focuses on the crime boss as he observes his hands, contemplating the power at his disposal and the quirk which has killed heroes and villains alike.

The attention placed on the mask was especially commendable. In addition to being enameled with the same ruddy color as his official counterpart, the beak-like covering also boasts dozens of small, golden wheels. His meticulousness demonstrates effort and a firm understanding of the character being presented.

8 The Boss

AnkaaneCosplay depicts another amazing take of the Overhaul character, contrasting a sable outfit with a white tie and gloves. The disparity in colors accentuates its features, drawing attention to two of the villain's most important symbols.

His tie is a sublime representation of the authority he has assumed when taking over the Yakuza—since he technically did so under treacherous pretenses. Similarly, the gloves are indicative of the power to enact change and of the criminal's insatiable desire to return the world to normalcy that is no longer possible. Dark fur provides an aesthetic of opulence and luxury, one essential to any self-respecting kingpin.

7 Predatory

gunzaimyx brings Overhaul's plan for Japanese domination into center focus; specifically, his manipulation of Eri. In this image, he looms in the background as the troubled young girl attempts to cope with the unspeakable wrongs being dealt to her.

Given how closely related they were to one another—with Eri's capture compelling Deku to take a direct role in her liberation—placing them in the same image makes sense. It simultaneously references Chisaki's motivations and summarizes the theme of the arc. Fortunately, she would be rescued from the criminal and placed on the long road to recovery.

6 Down With The Sickness

sam_mills flaunts another dreadfully powerful Overhaul cosplay through their gothic aesthetic and morbid disposition. The malevolent stare poised distantly from the camera is especially powerful in capturing the character's likeness and mannerisms, further amplified by his slight slouch.

One of the outfit's most clever—and subtle—details is of the blood splotched against his tie. It's likely that this is a reference to his battle against Magne, since he destroyed the villain's entire upper body with a passing graze of his hand.

5 Smooth Operator

Alolan_Ivern returns to a more traditional version of Overhaul's design, sporting pallid green and combining it with his signature white gloves. The man's mask is a particularly strong detail especially with how well it follows its original's appearance.

His hair is roughly the same length as Kai's, swaying just above his comfortably furred shoulders. With how many of Chisaki's most essential features he has captured, the cosplayer's devotion to following its original design is clear to any fan of the My Hero Academia universe, especially those infatuated with its darkest villains.

4 Just The Two Of Us

Hanaeru dazzles us with another Overhaul cosplay, one which grants us an opportunity to contrast his usual green outfit with his sheik black counterpart. Both cosplayers present stunning and valid versions of the same character, each redolent to the design of their inspiration.

Eri is also featured between the men in the image, a welcome addition to the duo. Regardless of how Chisaki might present himself, his obsession with the young girl and what quirk negating bullets she can produce from her blood is a constant to shock and sicken the villain's detractors.

3 Mad With Power

LeonChiroCosplayArt brings us an extremely detailed and dominant Overhaul costume, leaving no aspect of his design unchecked. His indigo fur aligns his broad shoulders, medical gloves pulled tightly over his hands, and arms braced for battle.

An underappreciated prop is of the yellow contact lenses he used in order to render his eyes akin to Chisaki's own. It properly captures the villain's malevolence as one of the only men alive to make Deku think twice before saving an innocent life. Accordingly, it's one of the outfit's smallest though most defining features.

2 An Overhauled Overhaul

sleepy_cuervito enthralls us with a genderbent Overhaul cosplay. Though it shares much of the villain's most notable traits—such as his gloves, tie, and appropriately colored furs and mask—there are a handful of details changed in this reimagination.

Namely, his favored long jeans were exchanged for short pants, and her hair assumes its own unique pigmentation. Nonetheless, she maintains the antagonist's telltale white shoes, ensuring that her design is faithful to its canon counterpart regardless of what liberties she took in creating one of the most lovely aesthetics yet.

1 Thanks, Lemillion

RaptorShotgun recreates one of the most poignant scenes from the series, one where Mirio had confronted Overhaul in order to prevent his escape. It was the culmination of the arc and a fight that had secured Eri's liberation from his oppressive clutches.

The cosplayer uses props magnificently in order to further bring the scene to life, with large, jagged spikes protruding dangerously in every direction. It was a brilliant example of what a hero should be in the an without an official Symbol of Peace and implicates that Japan's future was in good hands.
