My Hero Academia is a love letter to classic shonen titles and American comic book superheroes alike. Izuku Midoriya is determined to reach the top with the power of One For All. Along the way, he has deeply inspired his classmate Ochaco Uraraka, who also has rather humble beginnings. She was born with a Quirk, but little more.

Ochaco is determined to prove herself in a class filled with geniuses who have it all, and she will use martial arts, strong teamwork and her zero-gravity Quirk to get the job done.

10 TEAM UP WITH: Hanta Sero, A Human Tape Dispenser (My Hero Academia)

hanta sero costume my hero academia

Ochaco tends to team up with Tsuyu Asui, the frog girl. Tsuyu can easily fling a weightless opponent or object high into the sky, then Ochaco can bring them crashing back down. If Tsuyu isn't available, Hanta Sero can take her place for a mission or two.

Hanta Sero is a support hero who can generate long strands of sticky, thick tape from both elbows, so he can bind up villains or hold badly-damaged buildings together. Or he can use that tape like a lasso and fling a weightless opponent high into the air.

9 WOULDN'T TEAM UP WITH: Kenpachi Zaraki, The Brutal Soul Reaper (Bleach)

Kenpachi Trying To Antogonize Nnoitora

Captain Kenpachi Zaraki is a bloodthirsty Soul Reaper who defines himself by his combat prowess and his ability to savor a good fight. For him, being a Soul Reaper is about fun & self-indulgence rather than duty, and Ochaco would find that rather distasteful.

Kenpachi has no need for Ochaco's anti-gravity abilities. He can take down nearly any opponent all on his own. If his enemy is weightless and helpless, that takes the fun out of a fight since it's no longer fair. Ochaco and Kenpachi really don't need each other.

8 TEAM UP WITH: Naofumi Iwatani, Bearer Of Shields (The Rising Of The Shield Hero)

naofumi shield hero

Naofumi Iwatani is the shield hero, and although he cannot wield any weapons, his tough shields and his sharp tactical mind more than make up for his limited offensive abilities. In a fight, Naofumi could conjure all kinds of shields to protect Ochaco as she runs around to touch her enemies up close.

RELATED: My Hero Academia: Who's the Better Fighter, Ochaco or Toru?

Then, Naofumi can trap those enemies in shields to contain them, or he can use one of his few offensive powers to hit his floating enemies. It also helps that Naofumi has a practical mind.

7 WOULDN'T TEAM UP WITH: Natsu Dragneel, The Fiery Hero (Fairy Tail)

Natsu Dragneel in Zeref Fight In Fairy Tail

Natsu Dragneel is a classic shonen protagonist, for better or worse. He is brash, hotheaded, and a bit dense. Still, he is a mighty dragon slayer and the Fairy Tail guild counts on him a great deal. Natsu doesn't really need Ochaco's zero-gravity powers that much, though. It's true that Natsu could move a bit faster if Ochaco made him weightless while he zooms around on flame jets, but that's not really necessary. Natsu will stick with his own team.

6 TEAM UP WITH: Mikasa Ackerman,  The Exemplary Scout (Attack On Titan)

mikasa and her blade attack on titan

One of the toughest, coolest Scouts of all is Mikasa Ackerman, and she is Eren Yeager's self-appointed bodyguard. Mikasa is a fine Scout, talented enough to easily dodge Titans and strike them down with her paring blades, so she could benefit from working with Ochaco.

RELATED: My Hero Academia: 10 Things About Ochaco Uraraka That Make No Sense

The Scouts defy gravity when they use their ODM gear, and if Ochaco made Mikasa weightless, she could move better, easing the strain on her ODM gear. And if Ochaco makes the Titans weightless, then striking the napes of their neck will be even easier, since they can't easily turn around or make similar moves while floating.

5 WOULDN'T TEAM UP WITH: Megumin, The Crimson Demon Girl (Konosuba)

megumin in konosuba

Megumin of the Crimson Demon clan is single-mindedly focused on the art of explosion magic, and she has to put up with Yunyun, who has a one-sided rivalry with her. Megumin has fun with her teammates, yes, but she's not the ideal adventurer.

Megumin is defenseless up close, and she can cast exactly one explosion spell per day, leaving her helpless once cast. Ochaco's ability doesn't combo with remote explosion magic at all, and Ochaco can't handle the burden of an exhausted teammate.

4 TEAM UP WITH: Shinra Kusakabe, The Fire Soldier (Fire Force)

Fire Force's Shinra Kusakabe.

Shinra Kusakabe is a fire soldier in company 8, and he can generate flames from the bottoms of his feet. This is the Devil's Footprints ability, and Shinra can boost his offensive power and mobility alike when he uses it. He can jet around the battlefield with ease, and Ochaco can help.

RELATED: My Hero Academia: 5 Bleach Characters Ochaco Can Defeat (& 5 She Can't)

If Ochaco renders Shinra weightless, then he can move even faster, eliminating the dragging effect of gravity as he moves along. Ochaco can also touch high-level Infernals to render them immobile in the air, and make them very easy targets for company 8. Ochaco may need some cover during her approach, though.

3 WOULDN'T TEAM UP WITH: Jean Pierre Polnareff, Wielder Of Silver Chariot (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure)

Polnareff Has Put His Life On The Line To Save Jotaro

Jean Pierre Polnareff made his debut in Stardust Crusaders, wielding the Stand Silver Chariot. This melee Stand can slice and dice its opponents with a rapier, and it can even cut through stone and flame. It's a quick Stand, and if it sheds its armor, its speed spikes.

Polnareff would like Ochaco as a person, but he has no real need for her as an adventure partner. His Stand is already rather quick, and there is no real point in making Polnareff himself weightless. He can handle his enemies without rendering them weightless, either way.

2 TEAM UP WITH: Edward Elric, The Petite Hero (Fullmetal Alchemist)

Edward Elric bleeding

Edward Elric is a state alchemist, and he has a crafty, resourceful mind that's geared toward science. He can easily break down and rearrange matter at will, including forming walls, columns, & rubble with his alchemy. Ochaco can use that.

If Ochaco can trick Bakugo into making rubble and then make it all weightless to create a hail of meteors, she can do the same with Edward. Ed could use alchemy to reduce the ground, walls or boulders into many smaller pieces, and Ochaco can get to work. Or, she can make a boulder weightless, then Ed will strike it with an alchemy pillar. Right before the boulder hits the enemy, Ochaco will restore its gravity.

1 WOULDN'T TEAM UP WITH: Inosuke, The Double-Sword Demon Hunter (Demon Slayer)

demon slayer inosuke

Inosuke of the Demon Slayer corps is not unlike Kenpachi Zaraki. He relies entirely on his strength, his ragged swords, and his animal instincts to fight his enemies. He can crush nearly anyone who gets in his way – and he will be deeply insulted if anyone tries to help.

Tanjiro can barely handle Inosuke, and he has the benefit of being a fellow demon slayer. Ochaco would have an even tougher time convincing Inosuke to work with her, and Inosuke would say it's no fun to dice up a demon who is floating helplessly in the air. He wants to win a fair fight, or not fight at all.
