Every good hero is defined by their villains, and the captivating world of My Hero Academia is no exception. From sociopath masterminds to frothing lunatics, Izuku Midoriya and his friends face no shortage of challenges.

Their most frequent enemies are the League of Villains, a motley coalition of criminals determined to take out the students. However, one among them stands out for his jovial, often quirky behavior ~ Jin Bubaigawra, also known as Twice. It's time to take a closer look at this fast talking troublemaker and unmask what about him doesn't add up.

10 Exact Measurements

When Twice and Toga are sent by Shigaraki to work for Overhaul on the eve of the hideout's attack, he was compelled to explain how his powers worked. He stated that to clone a person, he needed measurements as exact as possible.

This does not account for what happens should the measurements be inaccurate, nor explain why he could not simply create a larger (or smaller) copy of a single person. A quirk like Kurogiri's would be far more effective if he had more mass to disseminate across the battlefield.

9 His Relationship With Toga

As organic as the relationship between Toga and Twice may have been, it does not seem to have a finite point at which it began. Additionally, Toga shelves her feral personality during Twice's frequent displays of indecisiveness and impotence.

While she sometimes entertains Twice's advances, Toga does not shy away from flirtatiousness with other men, either. Her behavior toward Deku insinuates that her loyalty may not be as authentic as his. It remains unclear if she's simply playful or is blatantly attempting to court them. Regardless, he may wish to think twice about her faithfulness.

8 Strategically Using His Quirk

Twice does not only add an element to the League of Villains' interpersonal dynamics, his quirk is the most irreplaceable among them. So far, the League has already used Twice's cloning in the attack on the training camp by creating a Dabi to fight Eraserhead.

However, there are unfathomably creative means by which to explore Twice's insane power that the League has yet to attempt. For example, Toga could have taken Bakugo's blood, turned into him, had Twice clone the disguised Toga, and pretended that one was real and one is a diversion  ~ all while the actual Bakugo was in another hideout. This would lower the heroes' guard with the one they "rescued."

7 Twice's Quirk Doesn't Need Energy

Unlike Momo Yaoyorozu, Twice's quirk does not need energy to create clones. Once Twice has made a single clone, that clone can begin to create their own clones without his effort, and so on.

Twice's clones do not naturally disintegrate. They must be damaged to come apart. Hence, it is curious as to what exactly is sustaining these clones. Would the clones themselves have biological functions, and if so, why do they turn to mud when they are destroyed?

6 All For One Would Want His Quirk

All For One in My Hero Academia.

As mentioned before, Twice's quirk not only distinguishes him from other villains with similar powers (such as Shigaraki, Mr. Compress, and Overhaul all having insta-kill touches), the heroes don't have anything to rival it, either.

Though All For One has been depicted as somewhat benevolent toward those who serve under him, its hard to see him abstaining from using Twice's quirk for his own devices. Two All For Ones would have been more than sufficient to prevent All Might from bringing him to justice at the battle of Kamino.

5 Cloning Himself And Injury

One of Twice's greatest inhibitions is his inability (though closer to refusal) to clone himself. This is due to a prior incident where his clones went rogue and started a bloodbath, one which left him uncertain whether or not he was real.

The only way to tell was for him to suffer a considerable amount of damage, but if his fears were confirmed, it would lead to his death. He would eventually find the reassurance he would need to thrive during the Re-Destro arc, yet it's odd that even as a career villain, he never was injured in a fight up until that point

4 Twice's Dwindling Sanity

One of Twice's most iconic and tragic characteristics are his split personality. Nearly every other sentence, he's contradicting himself, much to the vexation of his colleagues and the amusement of the audience.

While this hasn't yet proved to be a major issue, his apparent indecision should logically be much more of a liability. With how starkly opposed Twice's two personalities are to one another, it doesn't entirely add up how he can fulfill orders efficiently ~ let alone fight and win.

3 The Purpose Of Twice's Mask

Barely held together through his numerous abnormalities, Twice relies heavily on his mask to retain a sound sense of self and feel "whole." It's an understandable peculiarity for a mind as cracked as his, but there are contradictions and technicalities which make it less straightforward than it might seem.

For example, Twice has been seen behaving normally without his mask before without an issue.  However, when Nighteye tore it during the raid, he immediately plummeted into a breakdown. It's unclear what exactly is it about the cloth which binds his psyche together, but it is possible he depends on it more as his anxiety rises.

2 Twice's Motivation To Join The League

Unlike ideologues like Spinner or sadists like Shigaraki, Twice isn't notably motivated by any certain ambition beyond staying afloat. His attraction to the League of Villains came from their acceptance of him for who he is, but it's difficult to believe that everyone would have turned him away regardless of where he looked.

Further, it is unclear why he would find kinship in a leader like Shigaraki, who in spite of his tolerance of him, has not posited himself as a friend. Though it might be ill advised for them to hug, Tomura's coldness is not conducive to Twice's yearning heart.

1 Twice Is A Terrible Recruiter

Overhaul meets the League Of Villains

It's true that Twice's unique duplicating properties give him an advantage over the rest of the group in regards to scouting uncertain prospects. His congenial personality and infectious enthusiasm make for an ideal diplomat, and one sorely needed.

However, Twice is also unstable and gullible, an inconvenient truth which would later result in Magne's death. In spite of this, Twice has strangely avoided blame for the incident. While it's possible Tomura surmised Twice couldn't have known, it's more likely "firing" him from his position would mean he would have to exchange him for someone less expendable.
