Maki Oze styles herself as a witch, but the wholesome, lovable Makoto Kowata really is one, albeit one who's still in training. Makoto is an iyashikei sort of hero, a kind and proactive young lady who uses her arcane talents to help people and make them happy. She never asks for anything in return, either.
Mirio would find himself bewitched by the charming Makoto even if Makoto never cast a single hex on him, and they would immediately hit it off as friends. They both use their talents to cheer up and help the people around them, after all, so they'd understand each other. They might soon start dating after that.
1 Yoko Littner Has Another Shot At Love (Gurren Lagann)
The elite sniper lady Yoko Littner is by far Gurren Lagann's Best Girl, and she is an invaluable ally and friend to protagonist Simon as well. At one point, Yoko and Kamina almost fell in love, only for Kamina to perish in battle against the Spiral King's forces. Yoko grieved, but in due time, she moved on, her optimistic spirits undiminished.
Yoko is ready for love once again, and Mirio Togata is a fine match for her. He can't pilot mechs, but he has the noble heart of a hero who will save one million people from All For One, the Spiral King, or any other threat, and with a great personality to match. Together, they will finally be able to find personal happiness.
